Clear as day high-stick. Can't find the game log but if Hintz got penalized for that then no finn can complain.

Well, some sour losers here and there. Nothing new in the realm of HFboards. We losing the game was solely our own fault. If you don't score on the PP and suck at PK then you will get burned badly at this level. Just stop complaining about the refs it's really sad.

Finland was 3-2 at even strength and was the "better team", everybody who watch the game knows it, even swedes. Finland lost the game because too much penalties, **** happens.

Excelling at special teams is a very important factor in modern hockey, and teams who do are more likely to have success over those who don't. You can make silly excuses all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that Sweden was the "better team" last night.

That's me.

To be very honest, I laid it on thick. When the Finns were up, tied, or really, until we were down by three, I was loud.

I'm a rather loud person (as my wife likes to remind me).

I had a "Go Finland Go" chant, solo, that was louder than the entire Swedish section.

But I couldn't last...by the end I lost my voice.

I have to admit, at games end, we all shook hands, and had a good laugh. The Swedish folks, most who were chanting and cheering in Swedish, were all in good fun.

At one point, they started a chant, then I jumped in louder, and they stopped...(kinda rude of me, i know). This older swedish lady, in all yellow, barked at me something in Swedish (and all the Swedes laughed - I'm sure it wasn't "nice").

I replied "The last time I heard that was in a porno" - even the Swedes laughed and clapped.

I truly had a blast.

I was also shown in game as high sticking, but most people (at least commentators) assumed it was for the "crosscheck".

I seem to recall that his helmet was taken of by a swede. However I don't think it was intentional but rather the result of a small scrum. But I haven't seen the situation since the game.
