What ever happens tonight, congratulations to Denmark on a great tournament. Not only did they manage to beat the Swiss, take the Czechs and Russians to a shootout and make the quarters, but they did this in their first year up from Divison 1A (in a row that is). They looked very fast and composed, this wasn't just a goaltending miracle that got them this far. Ehlers and Bjorkstrand will be good NHler's, probably Eller too.

What if Denmark beats Canada tonight?
 
7-4 Canada. Fucale sucks and only saves 9/13 and Canada have a small issue in next round.
 
Going to say 5-2 Canada. Great step forward for the Danes this year! In 10 years they could be up there with the Fins and Czechs.

and Petan and Morrissey each have 3 assists as well. and De Leo jumps over the glass and scores on Fucale.

I predict that Gauthier won't look good and people will lose their minds. His game is far more suited to playing against the Americans or the Finns than it is Denmark. He's definitely familiar with Ehlers though, I wonder if Groulx will try and use that matchup at all.
 
I am upset USA got knocked out but I love Hockey so I watch the rest of the tournament with glee anyway. I am just so confused why you guys think Canada is going to run away with this one? Do you forget Canada-Latvia in the Olympics? All it takes is a team with some young players with absolutely nothing to lose playing balls to the wall and the opposing team not taking them seriously to try for an upset. This is a tournament for teenagers who show questionable emotional maturity at times. I could see Denmark sweeping the rug out from underneath Canada in the beginning of the game.
