They're correct though, the refereeing was bad tonight. Regardless of how the teams played, the refereeing was the worst ive seen since the Women's Gold Medal game in 2002. It was downright abysmal.Panel, shut the f*** up about the officiating and call out the total shit show that is Team Canada management and coaching.
Embarrassing, just embracing this loser mentality.
He read the play perfectly and made it over, but didn't get the right angle. It was a garbage goal that most goalies in this tournament would have stopped, most of the time, including George himself. He was bad tonight.Getting beat short side high on a cross ice one timer is not being stopped by many.
Well, not really a surprising result for this team. I won't lie and say oh, the Czechs were better in this game, but Canada had the exact same problems throughout the tournament and was done in by them. IIHF refs being dumb is as much a part of the tournament as pucks being made of rubber and is not the cause of the result.
I guess the forearm shiver from behind pushing McKennas face into the glass was a nice clean hit though eh. It has been 5 and a game all tournament except when Americans officiate Canadians games
Also McKenna did pretty good for him only just turning 17 in an U20 TournySchaeffer before he got injured. No one expected a 17 year old to be their most dynamic defenceman.
I live in Ottawa and the hype for this tournament as been zero. Theres no talk at all about it, with canada out i bet it takes a big hit. Compared to 2009 the difference is amazing, i wonder if people are starting to sour on this tournament. Its been In canada too much, i think we need a chance to miss it to gain appreciation for it again.Going to be lots of cheap tickets up for sale.
just hosting so they were given a passTournament would be better with less filler teams. What are these low-level countries like Canada even doing at an event like this?
I've been watching since it started but the early years were on CBC. Brian Williams and the Don were in studio for the Piestany punch up.I've been watching the world juniors for a good 35 years (whenever TSN started with the punch up game). IIHF officiating at the world juniors has ALWAYS been this way. You adapt, or you lose.
Hockey Canada used to know this. For whatever reason, the wheels have come off over the last 5 years. HC needs to get back on track. We have talent. We have coaching. We need to get back to using both to the best of their abilities.
Oof, that's true and very unfortunate.Schaeffer before he got injured. No one expected a 17 year old to be their most dynamic defenceman.

It was a massive hit when it was in Halifax the whole city was buzzingI live in Ottawa and the hype for this tournament as been zero. Is this supposed to be a joke? Oh manCanada would rather lose to CZE than have to play usa again
Absolute cowards
I blame the cyclobenzaprine i've been on for my bad back!Bruh you should know as an HFOil user that I’m being deeply sarcastic. Just here to stir up noise.
Another American WI think we should be talking about how the American official called every penalty against team Canada tonight....seems pretty bias especially as a few were phantom calls
How was that penalty "bullshit"? It was about as clear as it can be.You would be crying to if Finland lost on a bullshit penalty in the last 2 minutes.
well, it wasn't here. in 2009 it was electric. It was a massive hit when it was in Halifax the whole city was buzzing
I can't wait to make you regret every word you uttered here, and the day will come........make sure you're around.
Don't be late for that show.

They are canned tonight, the tourny is overWe can whine about the reffing all we like. It's always called this way in the international game. We should have known.
And the fact is we did not score enough. We made the reffing relevant and that's on us. Boys fought hard. The Hockey Canada dudes who selected this group should be canned tonight.
