Panel, shut the f*** up about the officiating and call out the total shit show that is Team Canada management and coaching.

Embarrassing, just embracing this loser mentality.
They're correct though, the refereeing was bad tonight. Regardless of how the teams played, the refereeing was the worst ive seen since the Women's Gold Medal game in 2002. It was downright abysmal.

Well, not really a surprising result for this team. I won't lie and say oh, the Czechs were better in this game, but Canada had the exact same problems throughout the tournament and was done in by them. IIHF refs being dumb is as much a part of the tournament as pucks being made of rubber and is not the cause of the result.

You give the Czechs the lead on the first play of the game and you’re going to have a bad time.

I guess the forearm shiver from behind pushing McKennas face into the glass was a nice clean hit though eh. It has been 5 and a game all tournament except when Americans officiate Canadians games

I explained it several times already but I'll do it one last time for you:

There was no call because it was an accident. If you watch it again you'll see that McKenna started falling on his own. Which is the reason why there was head contact. There's no way to anticipate your opponent suddenly falling.

Going to be lots of cheap tickets up for sale.
I live in Ottawa and the hype for this tournament as been zero. Theres no talk at all about it, with canada out i bet it takes a big hit. Compared to 2009 the difference is amazing, i wonder if people are starting to sour on this tournament. Its been In canada too much, i think we need a chance to miss it to gain appreciation for it again.

I've been watching the world juniors for a good 35 years (whenever TSN started with the punch up game). IIHF officiating at the world juniors has ALWAYS been this way. You adapt, or you lose.

Hockey Canada used to know this. For whatever reason, the wheels have come off over the last 5 years. HC needs to get back on track. We have talent. We have coaching. We need to get back to using both to the best of their abilities.
I've been watching since it started but the early years were on CBC. Brian Williams and the Don were in studio for the Piestany punch up.

He read the play perfectly and made it over, but didn't get the right angle. It was a garbage goal that most goalies in this tournament would have stopped, most of the time, including George himself. He was bad tonight.

It was a broken play, a quick pass and a one timer to the short side.

You see those goals all the time in the NHL.

We can whine about the reffing all we like. It's always called this way in the international game. We should have known.

And the fact is we did not score enough. We made the reffing relevant and that's on us. Boys fought hard. The Hockey Canada dudes who selected this group should be canned tonight.
