A great example of why every year people freak out that Canada doesnt bring enough skill when they leave younger guys at home, Byfield doesnt look ready for this tournament at all but people were pencilling him in as Canadas top center.

Lafreniere is the best player in this tournament

Whatever,it's per the usual at this tournament, every team deals with it and gets stung by this stuff sooner or later, it's over and done with for me long ago.

It doesn't matter whose fault it is. In the IIHF rules if you catch the head and it leads to an injury it's still a major.

I have only seen Byfield in this tournament, but his game looks raw. You can see the skill, but will it translate to the pro game?

Maybe it is just being 17 in the WJC, I'd need to see more.

I think if anything, it got the right goalie in the net. Yes Russia killed them but te wind was out of Canadas sails early in that game.
