I felt in the playoffs kreider-stepan-nash line looked good and was developing chemistry, I'm sure eventually this season they'll get some time together and I think it could be a real dynamic line. Kreider's development is where he needs a real solid center that can carry the play, he's still learning to use his big size and getting to the right areas, but it is definitely getting there. I hope Kreider gets to play tomorrow night!

Richards, I agree completely with you on that, he has showed nothing worthy of getting 1st or 2nd line center, even 3rd line center is a bit of a stretch. However, he will be given chance to try and be successful, but as much as I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, he has shown nothing.

I love that line, just am not sure Kreider is ready. But if he can be, to me there is not much harder to defend than a play-making center between two power forwards with scoring skill.

As far as Richards, I cursed Sather the day he gave the contract. As a fan I want him to bounce back this year, I just have my doubts and haven't seen anything this pre-season to change that. But I think they gotta give him a chance to succeed since they decided to hold off on the buyout, just can't see him playing above Step or Brass.

Glad to see Brass playing with Nash instead of Richards. I haven't seen anything from Richards to indicate he should start anywhere better than the 3rd line when the season opens now that Stepan is signed. I know we don't have anyone who can play on Nash's level but we gotta give him better than Richards.

So I'm guess all that buzz before the preseason about Richards skating better were overblown? That's not good.
