Every coach must see how bad Nash and Brassard play together for themselves. 20 years from now at a Columbus Blue Jackets reunion, this will still be the case.

I agree about not being overly ecstatic from a Canucks perspective, but you have to break down for me how a 5-0 loss is more encouraging from a rangers perspective. It makes abiut as much sense as a soup sandwich

Pre-season, flukey goals. The only players who has been bad are McD-Girardi.

Re-play this game with the same shot ratio and the Rangers win most of them.

Outshooting another team is a much more sustainable skill than a high shooting percentage.

Since the score doesn't matter in the pre-season, I prefer being the team that drives play.

Why do you say that? Hank doesn't need to prove anything.

just feel bad for the guy, rough night, wanted to play a full game tonight, felt he just needed one more game to be ready for the season. He's human he wants to have some confidence going into the regular season, I'm sure he'll be fine to start the season even without playing tomorrow night, but he hasn't had one win in the preseason. If you were him, wouldn't you feel better confidence wise with at least a real solid game or a win before the regular season starts? I know I would.

EDIT: Also, before being assigned to the AHL, Talbot was scheduled to play half of the game tomorrow night with Biron playing the other half. So where it is only hank and Biron, I'm thinking they split the game.

John Moore is going to be a stud.

It's an embarrassment of riches when it comes to LH D and dumpster diving everywhere else but in net and on the PK.

Very much so.

No. The transition game, not blocking shots, man-to-man and activating the d on offense left our goaltenders exposed constantly down low and on the rush, every game seemed like 6-7 2 on 1's. Our d members are strong individually but the system was easy to figure out, especially picked a part when playing the same team many time... I.e. the playoffs. Got torched down low. Lu + Schneider bailed our ***** out in the regular season for a few years. The system was great the first couple years til teams really caught on. AV I love I'm as a coach but he failed to adapt.

3 on 2 and Boyle has to lead it with the puck in slow motion...lol, just saying. I know preseason and all, but couldn't that have been anyone else? lol please lol

The Rangers have failed to improve on what was plaguing them last season and have gotten markedly worse at the parts of the game they were good at. This'll be a season to remember.

lets put one on the scoreboard.

I'd like to see some ****ing pride here. It's not good enough to say you didn't look horrible in a game in which you got blown out of the damn building, straight up Georgia St, through the park, and into the ocean.

Dammit, I knew I forgot one of em. Im a diehard fan but when it comes to preseason I just turn it on and it becomes background noise while I get work done on the computer. These games are nothing more than a chance for coaches to get a look at kids and play with combinations. It doesnt tell us a whole lot about the regular season whatsoever.

I couldnt agree with you more
