I'm not saying anything about Kakko being a bust. He's just been completely useless today, and I'm disappointed because he's the only reason I'm watching this. I remember a Finland exhibition game in April that I watched solely because of Kakko too and he didn't do squat. That didn't stop him from dominating the WHC in May.

Brutal game for the most part. They have struggled creating space in the offensive zone outside of the times when ADA has the biscuit.

It's disappointing but it might get better once the lines get locked and train a bit more together.

Ok at the game and will surmise who i like so far and who not so much:
Staal = meh
Smith= shoulda shot earlier when he had the chance
Hajek= looking good except that almost give away
Chytil= had some good moments, not so great moments. Needs to work on the forecheck
Mika=love the guy
Lemieux= oh how we missed him
Deangelo= smooth and crisp
Kakko= think hes trying to adjust
Strome= no hes not ur 2c
Trouba= big boy

A few notes=
We have to stop letting the opposition block our goalie. We are too passive on that and it creates scoring chances. When trouba kept kicking the guy in front of henrik, the king was able to see shots and thats why he got those saves.
Dont worry about our offense, our 3rd line rn is showing promise and i would like that as our 3rd line this season. Kravstov isnt ready, hes close but needs a lil more time. No worries, we can wait.

Andersson has outplayed Chytil and maybe Howden this preseason. He really shouldn't get demoted, nor should Kravstov, who has not looked bad. Tough decisions coming up. The best solution would be to move one of Strome or Namestnikov without paying a price. Nieves hasn't played poorly either, and I wouldn't feel uncomfortable with him sitting as a 13F. Haley has also done well.
