I think running 4 forwards 1 D with a legit PP QB has statistically proven to be a better PP setup but I'm not sure AV/Arniel will do it. Could have someone like Zucc maybe working the other point

We have always run 4F 1D on our 1st unit except for when Yandle was here, then we had him and McDonagh on the point. I see no reason why that would change.

that 2nd pair :shakehead

At first, I thought this was in response to lamimni's "motorway reconstruction" post.

Then I scrolled down to see the Pylon has a partner....

4 Goals & 4 Assists in 38 games can easily cause a player to not show up conspicuously on teams' radars. I can see why teams didn't jump on him as being a no-brainer Top 10 guy.

Snowfort, how strange that sounds. I'm trying not to doubt you...but how could an arena that players and fans attend be difficult for a scout to get to?

Thank God we had a European scout based in Slovakia that had no problems getting to Chytil's games in the Czech Republic. Jan Gajdosik had been following Chytil for over a year, noting his progress. He's the reason we drafted Chytil. Jan has been with us since 1993 (full-time since 2000). It's about time he hit pay dirt!

He was basically responsible for Rangers drafting Lundqvist. He was first to notice his talent and urged other scouts to follow him. Had confidence in his abilities even though he did not have very good draft year. And wanted the Rangers to draft Chara in 1995 but chief of scouting department did not think Chara can be NHL player (as he was very raw at the time ). Zdeno went 56th in 1996.

Nice. I appreciate the info you've been providing on Czech & Slovak players and scouts over the past year. It's good stuff.

Yeah, very interesting stuff. I love reading interviews with Rangers scouts, so much behind the scenes info. Being Rangers fan makes it even more intriguing to me. Just a bit depressing, as from what I read, it seems that Slovaks who get drafted by Rangers bust (for example Baranka, Zaborsky, although they were good Euro players) and those who are being considered at the draft table but for some reason Rangers do not draft them, end up being good players (Sekera, Tatar or lately Christian Jaros who looked great in Ottawa training camp ):shakehead. I just hope Huska changes it. And I am happy that Rangers Euro scouts got a chance to show their abilities in such a important draft for the Rangers and so far it looks like they did a great job.

Kinda frustrating that Andersson won't have good linemates again, but oh well. Super excited for Chytil, Andersson, ADA and McD-Shatty again. Also, kudos to Fontaine for working his tail off to get a look on the third line tonight

Nash Chytil Buchnevich third line to start the season? That should terrify a lot of people in the metro. That’s two in a row for Chytil and Buch together. They’ve shown chemistry

That would leave vesey Hayes miller as the second line

Then you’ve got desharnais centering Grabner and Fast.

Pretty nasty no?
