I think our forwards will sort themselves out as far as offensive production. The best thing so far for me is individual defensemen looking really good and the defensive structure being a lot simpler than last year.

It's pre-season so none of these line combinations will carry over to the season opener. Coach is testing players in various positions. The known commodities will just play wherever, like Zucc, Fast and Kreider.

I’m very surprised at Tim gettinger being able to skate at this level. He looks like he may have a future. I never thought so but he’s proving me wrong. Needs to keep working on it but there’s potential there.

Lettieri makes me want to throw things at the tv watching him. He has zero hockey sense. No clue where anyone is on the rink. He’s just horrendous. AND he’s going to somehow make this team I know it.

Beleskey getting hurt is a shame he’s been VERY good.

Pionk has had about 4 solid offensive chances in 2 games and he’s got a goal and 2 assists. Like I said the other night he sneezes and grabs an assist. While DeAngelo has done everything tons of offense generated and one puck to staals bad eye side and he ends up a -1. I don’t know what it is but Pionk puts up points and ADA just doesn’t.

Brendan Smith again looks fantastic

Solid defense is more the story than anything tonight. Good stuff
