You respond too quickly lol. I edit my posts 99% of the time because I’m in such a rush and want to respond as quickly as possible, which results in mistakes. But I disagree. ADA has been better, until today. I don’t know how you think otherwise. Then again, I am only basing my opinion off the eye test.

Putting aside the goal, Gettinger has looked very good to me, given the context. I was worried about his skating but I'm really not right now. He looks like he has an NHL career in his future.

Also, Pionk is a very good player. I don't care what the numbers say in his case.

I hope no one is saying Pionk is bad. It sure looks like ADA and Pionk should be on the team

Gettinger’s ability to protect the puck down low will help him succeed in our offensive system imo

I have a feeling we’ll be doing a lot or cycling in the offensive zone under Quinn

He’s a fine depth option. I’d keep him as a 7/8

Looks like a totally different person. Previous Buchnevich was one of the weakest guys I've ever seen. This one has man strength.

What makes you say that? I would have thought that before today, ADA has objectively been the better player. And this isn’t an ADA vs. Pionk one-or-the-other kind of thing. I think they both have been 2 of our top 3 defensemen this preseason, along with Smith.

He's been solid defensively to me. Not going to provide offense, but he's better than Staal.

ADA looks really good because he makes fast, clean decisions as soon as he gets the puck.

They're not always optimal, but he keeps it moving. I want him top-4 to start the year.

I just think ADA has been better all over the ice. His defense has improved and he’s been noticeably better offensively. More creative. It’s not to say Pionk’s been bad. ADA’s just taken a bigger step.
