Without letting it go too far, I'm just saying there is a bit (a lot) of difference between real musicians and people playing around on their computer at home in 2017.
Software like Protocols was the death of quality music.

I'm sure the people who lived to see the great composers of history would say the same about all of the music you love. There are still plenty of talented musicians making incredible music in 2017 solely on their computer or home studio, agree to disagree.

I'll never forget when Cangi called Olympic soccer and called every German name in French.

I wanted to light my ears on fire.

No way on this planet Staal and Holden have outplayed DeAngelo... Not even close, or on par or anything close.

First 5 D should be 27, Kirk, Skjei, Smith, DeAngelo... and at this stage i would take Holden over Staal for #6

Sorry I'm poking my nose into this - as someone who makes a living as a musician, my .02 is that there isn't a lack of musicianship or songwriting, it has to do with the advent of affordable recording software. All of these guys are producing themselves, which is REALLY hard because you're too close to the songs you wrote and can't listen to them objectively. Very few people can produce themselves successfully - Prince could, but he was a genius. Jimmy Page produced Zeppelin well, but again, kind of a genius.

Your opinion is welcome, and I agree on this aspect of the argument. Not only in regards to having a second set of ears, but also a trained set of ears doing the post-production and mastering. Let's face it there's still a big difference in quality between a home studio production and something done professionally in the proper environment with the proper tools.

This game is so terrible I'm actually contemplating tur ing it off.
