I can't believe people are wondering if TDA should make the team.

If he died, I would dig him up, spray down the maggots, drag his lifeless corpse onto the ice, and prop it up at the blueline with a clothesline and some gum, before I put Marc Staal on the ice.

I think he's just having to compete against Pionk in particular at this point. I don't think you'd want to force one of those guys to switch sides and then play them as a pair, so they're realistically in competition with each other.

I just think this is the wrong conversation. Its a waste of time. You are right, but thats just not the situation for this team.

We know right now Staal and Holden have spots on the team. Does anyone seriously believe they are fighting for roster spots? Maybe playing time, doubt its for roster spots.

So we are probably talking about one spot open on defense with four good candidates, gonna be tough for anyone to make the team on defense.

I'm going to keep talking about it until every piece of rotting ECHL trash is off my hockey team, so buckle up and get used to it.

As bad as BearGloves corsi probably was that period, I thought he was good positionally for the most part, and the shot attempts that did occur on the ice weren't caused by his play. His skating definitely looks better than Traverse.

Well I think it`s based on a lot of hype in media. Chytil will not get an Auston Matthews kind of contract - nor production. The pass from Zucc last game was on his stick, literally.

I think Holden will be gone within the first week of the regular season after final cuts shake out with other teams.

Staal will have a spot. I'm just hopeful he's in the pressbox more than wrath was.

Nah, not media hype. I don't think any of us expected to see what we've seen. It's his play that's driving the hype.

You seem so sure, I am personally not so sure, as Gorton is making these decisions, and he's also the GM, he'll consider his options. I think its a complicated situation. That 4 young defensemen likely becomes 3 if DeAngelo is the one who makes the team, so I think there's more to it than that. I wish it was 4 for 3 spots instead of 4 for one spot.

Is Bereglazov playing the left side tonight? Seems like he is but I realized I wasn't sure.

I for sure think at least one of Pionk or DeAngelo make the team. They're competing for the 3rd pairing RD spot. Team will want to start the season with them to see if they can run with hit, if they can trade someone like Holden or bury Holden or Staal in the press box. Graves and Bereglazov have a tougher road as Staal or Holden will almost certainly play that left side. Maybe one makes it as the 7 D

I'd be shocked if they ran a rookie 3rd pairing one way or another

Because the Islanders are a garbage organization and we're playing in a damn AHL arena tonight. However, I could just tell that he was in the zone for a lot of attempts against, but I watched him closely and most of the attempts didn't occur anywhere near him. It's only a small sample size, but let's see if it regresses back towards the middle
