While that’s undoubtedly true, watching these games and getting frustrated instead of just keying in on certain guys and making your own assessments is foolish. The issues and question marks that will be present when we have our lineup decided and on the ice together can’t be judged or commented on by watching the team play with 50% AHL/ECHL caliber talent. Even when a guy who will be on the roster makes a gaffe, it’s hard to judge how much he was already out of position or caught in transition because of some tweener’s mistake a second earlier. I’ve seen bad, bad decisions from Kreider at least twice tonight, but no one cares because we know what Kreider brings. We don’t know what some of these guys bring, but we also can’t get a full idea by watching them play in a game like this.
