I maintain that Skjei is not long for this franchise...too many quality LDs in the system, and Skjei is just a 2nd paring Dman.

They need to stop trying to make Skjouba happen. I usually don't like writing off pairings in the preseason but man there just isn't anything good going on there.

I don't know how to make the other pairings work, but I'm all about seeing Skjei-DeAngelo again.

Understandable, but when you look at the whole picture, being a quality 3rd liner still helps fill the puzzle. I don't see the offensive talent to be a top 6 forward, but, he's does a lot of good things that help good teams win.

Agreed there, as long as he helps fill out the puzzle, I can't be disappointed. Especially since, as someone mentioned the other day, it's not exactly as if we passed up a bunch of worldbeaters in drafting him. He kinda does remind me of a slower, but feistier third line version of Chris Drury. People forget that prime Drury had some pretty good wheels.
