We have iced much worse lineups than our opponents in virtually every game and made less cuts than every other team. We have so many young guys we’re taking looks at. Flip to one of the other games going on around the league or look at the Flyers and you’ll see 75-80% of a full NHL lineup. We’ve been icing less than 50% nightly.

We’re going to lose. Preseason record and goals don’t count for anything. We’re assessing guys, nothing more. This is not indicative of a damn thing.

I didn't expect anything but losing with the lineups that are out there for both teams. The only game we had a chance this preseason was the first game.

There's also the matter that even when the full lineup is iced, this team still has a lot of issues to solve and a lot of growing pains to fight through.
