So, random thought that's probably been said before, they always talk about increasing scoring in the league, how about having a penalty that carries over from another period start in the penalized team's zone? I mean a full 2:00 penalty. Any thoughts?

Nobody wants staal and Holden. You're talking about 5 and 6 d men and saying they need to be in shattenkirk and smiths spots. No. They can be 5 and 6 d men. You're blaming every poster here for a decision AV might make.

Its more than just a decision AV will make. He has no choice, the contracts make it so. Best case scenario, they are 6D and 7D, but thats still occupying 2 roles on the roster.

If you philosophically thought we needed to get younger and cheaper on the back end, I don't know why you'd be advocating for decisions YOU KNEW would give these guys no chance to make the roster. We all want the decisions to be different, but the team is in a bind, you can't make certain cap hits go away without severe cap consequences. This is not fantasy land, you gotta think practically about how decisions will work. The logic you are using is irrelevant because it doesn't matter what we want, it matters what will happen, therefore you gotta adjust your logic to certain givens, you can't get poutty when certain decisions you knew were not going to go your way don't go your way.
