Your post could have described every game of his last season. Unfortunately his shots don’t lead to goals or assists

Truthfully, this is a whole new year with a coach who will show some confidence in him so he doesn't have to play afraid of being benched every 5 seconds (like how Buch was treated and a lot of young guys). The points will come with him. He moves the puck around very well, he will get assists from that alone. Shatty doesn't have the great shot either but moves and passes the puck so well. Not everyone has a Burns/Chara shot

I'm liking the ice time distribution. With Insane Alain, McLeod would be 4th in forward ice time by now while Kreider and Buchnevich would be 7th and 8th.

Yea DeAngelo has a pretty mediocre shot for an offensive defenseman, but so does Pionk, and he put up points. What I’m saying is that even though DeAngelo’s shot needs work, that won’t stop him from potentially becoming an NHL player. His mediocre defense might, but not his shot. All he needs to do is get it to the net, and he does that. Shooting is probably the least important skill for a defenseman, in my opinion. It goes hockey IQ, puck-moving, defense, skating, physicality, and then finally shot, in my opinion.

The first one he had no chance to win that foot race. He could've done a better job of containing the pass, but its not his fault Fogarty blew an assignment a few feet out and gave up an easy scoring chance.

The way I see it is that even if his shot isn’t that good, if he shoots a lot the points will still come. I think he was unlucky or snakebitten last year because he’s scored at every level he’s played at before he got here
