Trudeau isn't right got beat easily outside with a weak pivot.
Not much you can do if you can't push off properly.
It will be interesting to see if Providence go after him on his left side.

I think he'd easily do better than Heineman/Newhook in terms of offensive impact.
Heineman for me is at best a 3rd liner whereas if Roy makes it I think it's in the top 6. Newhook is also at best a 3rd liner. Roy needs a bit more maturity I think.

talking to a friend today, he predicts armia, Dvorak and hopefully one of savard or Matheson will be gone in the new year. let's see lol
Matheson doesn't like good so far this year for sure.

What demonstrates maturity and why does not Roy not have enough of it? How can we even determine if he has enough maturity?

Not sure what Roy has to prove. He sucked for a couple preseason games and is unfairly punished for it. Most of the NHL team is dogging it right now yet nobody is being punished like Roy was. Otherwise, he was clearly good enough for the NHL to drive our 2nd line before his injury. Mailloux is a wreck defensively and awesome offensively so I understand taking our time with him.

Roy is far from being an established player in the NHL, so yeah, he's got a lot to prove.

And he's not being punished, he had a poor training camp and both Heineman and Kapanen earned their spots.

At this point in time, bringing Roy with the big team is like throwing maple syrup on chocolate fondue. It's useless until Dach finds his level and centers the second line.

At that point you can call up Roy and insert him right into an offensive role.

I think it's better for them to stay with Laval. Even if they dominate, right now is not the right moment to ask them to climb the hill with the big team.

Both got a lot to prove, but they should be brought up when the team is more stable.
I agree up and until we can stop the flood of goals against it's a bad idea.
It's not so great that Kapanen is there as it is.
If we need to call up a Dman it should be Gustave and if a forward maybe Condotta.

I obviously am not privy to anything but I would assume that management wasn't too happy with that minor autograph signing fiasco. Pure speculation

I think once Dach settles his game, the top 6 will be stabilized and that's when you can bring him up.

Yet Kapanen is not doing anything anymore and Heineman is a bottom 6 player on the 1st line.

They are evaluating Kapanen and Heineman is a north south player, which is something they severely lack.

Roy is just not a good fit right now with the way the team is looking.

You want him with Newhook and then put on the third line and then demoted back to the AHL?

At this point, calling up Roy is just gonna end up in yo-yo'ing him.

Did the full story for that even come out? Roy's hosted stuff like this numerous times in the past and it was a success every time from what I've read. Not to mention that if what was speculated is completely true and management is pissed off about it, at what point do they forgive him? I'm unsure because it's likely not an objective thing you can measure unless I'm missing something.

Again all we fans can do on a forum like this is speculate when it comes to stuff like this. Roy is becoming too good for the AHL.

We've got 2 players providing consistent offense, I think another high IQ uber talented offensive-minded player can be a fit.
