Girard was interesting because his skating and IQ got him in the league fast, but he's never really gotten that much better than his first year or two. He basically walked into the league at 19-20 and was the same player he is today and some would argue worse. That's not something you see often in this league, but yes his size absolutely was the biggest factor.

If I remember correctly for all the crap he gets Pronman was very high on Girard his draft year and loved his NHL chances. Interesting to think back on. I also agree that ideally Molendyk is able to play with a little more mass and size than Girard who wasn't/isn't just short, he's got a very slight frame to go with it.

Depends... if we are going to bring big Ask up next season as backup l, id definitely sign Haider so we would have a young goalie in Milwaukee. Campbell is also lingering around a point per game and we got some room in Milwaukee at LW.

McLane, Reid, and Fontaine i dont see any real need to sign. We dont really have room for Reid. Fontaine has a sweet name and honestly would love to have his career work out so i can get a jersey but i dont see it.

Lind will be in the WHL for another season. Afanaseyev ideally moves to the NHL. Foudy.... im not entirely convinced he is extended a qualifying offer. Mutter is a LW. Fink stays in college.

He's a massive human that plays forward. One of those guys that's honestly heavier looking than his roster numbers. He was very slow at camp but his hands were pretty solid. Was getting in some tips around the net. He was an over ager playing in a pretty lesser league though if I remember correctly.

Well the seniors that win the Hobey tend not to be hot NHL prospects or they wouldn't be seniors in college. Fink making the list as a freshman definitely is a good sign
