Yeah, I figured it would change in the future, but for right now, that's the barrier that's preventing him from coming over. Be it this dev camp, or down the road with training camp. That's the tangible obstacle.

Maybe he re-signed, but has an NHL out clause. Maybe he comes over to camp and if he makes it, he stays. If he doesn't, he goes back to the KHL.

That is an interesting thought. It could be that his old contract didn't have an NHL-out clause, he bought it out, signed a new one WITH an NHL-out clause and can now come to NY to try and earn a contract. If that fails, he can still go back.

With his old contract (that would expire in 2018) that wouldn't have been possible
 
This is gonna be large, but I don't think anyone will mind.

We have a good group at the rookie camp this season, much better than last year in terms of depth. Around 15-18 very competent high caliber hockeyplayers.
 
like that day/zobo pair.

zobo is a big dude.

so is bereglazov.

love that both andersson and chytil both stand out. as i watch them both the thing that shines is how smart they both are and how they play a mature game for being so young.

hockey IQ plus skills plus skating = win

Andersson is very energetic. Always physical--always going to the net.
