If Jimplanahan nets a high end prospect or two at the 2019 draft AND convinces Tryamkin to come back the Nucks could be a fun team to watch

Ya but there will not be room for them on the team.

Jimplanahan rule #1: sign as many 30+ year old free agents to multi-year deals while also saying you want to get younger

I’m not even on this tank shit yet, but we will be fishing picks from our net a lot. Our defense is atrocious.

Edler at 27 mins and Tanev at 24. That can't be sustainable for that long either - and then the d will improve when those two play less?

So are we going to acknowledge that Boeser is clearly dealing with a nagging injury and instead of removing him from the lineup for rehab and/or surgery, they are just allowing him to play through it?

Only a team that’s trying hard for a playoff push would make such a risky and stupid decision.

Jokes on them though, since he looks awful trying to play through the injury.

Unintentionally tanking has always been Benning’s calling card, why should we expect it to stop now?

Just hope that Boeser’s injury doesn’t become a lingering issue that flares up in future years because he didn’t get it properly assessed and corrected right now.

Have any of the sycophantic cowards in the media even asked about this?

It really depends on the injury. In many cases the best rehab is some physio exercises and doing what you normally do even if performance isn’t great.

Clearly he’s hobbled but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be playing.

That said, we also don’t want a Hodgson situation brewing,

I could see his back bugging him a bit but that will come and he could play through it.

That wrist though.... I don't like the look of it. Wrist injuries are hard to rehab and if he has torn his TFCC everytime he shoots it will hurt.

I'd agree just wait until Tanev/Edler get injured, which is absolutely inevitable. I doubt they make it to December at this pace. Then we'll really see some fireworks. The rest of this defense isn't NHL calibre.

Coach Green really should have rested him for the first two games of the season. Worked last year.

TOUCHDOWN CALGARY!

Nice to see the Canucks D get victimized last night. A little too much offense, but that's not sustainable with the little amount of shots the Canucks generated. Smith just isn't that good of a goalie.

Why are you here, are you even a Canucks fan?

Yeah, what are you doing cheering a loss in the TANK THREAD?

Fair enough but you ever hear the quote "win with humility, lose with grace"? Nothing graceful about relishing the fact your so-called home team's defense is getting ventilated.
