Been beat to death… no Edmonton doesn’t want the term and cap hit of Price, no thanks

$5.25 million for Price is a steal. He’s completely primed for LTIR whenever his play starts to dip so his age won’t hurt that much. That said, the ask for Montreal to eat that much cap is going to likely turn teams off.

Nothing like selling Broberg and a 1st for, "He can be LTIR'ed as soon as he falls off."

I realize you essentially acknowledged that in the last sentence but still... He's already 34 and had a major surgery. That fall off could be right now.

Price is overrated. And that’s before whatever Price you’ll get after his mental issues recovery. Goaltending is a mental game, who knows how good he’ll be after he drops whatever substances that he thought was helping him deal.

Ah…so it’s not just Colorado Montreal fans try to sell Price off to for top pieces…

It wasn't mental health issue, it was substance abuse. Most likely painkillers.
It's pretty wide spread like wise, he took action. There are probably a bunch of players dealing with the same problem right now.

Substance abuse is in that mental health issues family or close to it IMO. If he’s addicted to a substance and was using in order to deal with NHL pressures whether physical or mental, and he has to learn how to play without… there’s huge question marks regarding his ability to play at the same level.

That's an opinion. I do not share that opinion. What made him a world class goaltender isn't painkillers or performance enhancing drugs.

The bolded is just an invalid opinion. It's not true.

If Price gets moved it likely won't be at 50% it's more likely 2-3 million retained and then a shorter term bad contract coming back.

For example:

Price at 8 million

For

Assets (not the point of this post)
Koskinen
Klefbom (Habs are already deep into LTIR, so no negative affect on them but in the future would allow them to accrue cap space.

Montreal
Price has a NMC
Why would he waive?

He literally made arrangements to ensure both himself and Allen were playing on the same team during the expansion draft.

Price likely retires a Hab.

:laugh::laugh: Others are pissing on the trade idea but wtf? "Goaltending is a mental game" is right, therefore going to therapy and fixing whatever mental issue was bothering him is a net positive lol.

I'd be much more worried about his body falling apart than his head.

As far as the offer goes... no way Edmonton does this. Koskinen is gone at the end of the year and Skinner looks good. Worst case scenario they go Fishing for a rental goalie.

Lehkonen is not a valuable piece in a trade either, not a negative asset but hems a dime of a dozen bottom 6 players.

Price can still deliver excellent goaltending, he just doesnt have trade value imo, because the risks are just too great.

Vegas wasn't Vegas until they were winning games left and right out of the gate. No one expected them to be where they're at. And no, you're delusional if you think Edmonton would be interested in spending 10.5M in cap on Price for 5 years. You're totally delusional when you see Seattle pass his contract up for free and still think high-level teams would take on his full contract. This shit is absurd.
Uneducated. The intelligent hockey world knew Vegas was going to be competitive. Once MAF is was official.
Secondly elite teams with a legit shot at winning would absolutely take on price for a cup run IF they could make some smart $$# moves. If you think Edmonton wouldn't rather see price start game one over what they have now all I can say is LOL LOL ...try harder... its only money pal, cups last forever

There is only one bad contract in all of the assets you have listed in this post.

You're not nearly as clever as you seem to think you are. Your shit is delusional. And "smart money moves" would be to not trade for a 34-year-old goalie who has a 10.5M cap for the next 4 years after this one lol.

Uneducated still, with no concept how to build a winning team.
Id point out big ticket pcs like Kessel to Pittsburgh or bourque to Colorado but you probably wouldn't understand.....
Meh.....

You think therapy just magically solves things? Even if so, maybe he feels better but when it comes to sports performance, who knows. He was risky for free just based on contract, he’s so ridiculously risky I can guarantee no one is trading for him until he plays games.
