Njd.tv won’t connect for me, just a spinning circle. Both on Xbox, phone, and PC.

That’s if I’m using WiFi, vpn, or lte connections.

No problem streaming anything else, including this game through the app.

I’ve had problem with their player in the past but was just streaming the website yesterday.

I would do anything to legally watch games that didn't involve cable

I'm not above breaking the law to watch games but the ease of turning on a TV and not having to search for it still overrides everything. This is a nice compromise as I can just airplay it with very little issues compared to finding illicit streams.
