The players to watch for me in this one are Okhotyuk for the Devils and Beck for Montreal.
Okhotyuk to me is a good camp away from stealing the 3LD slot for opening night. His mix of speed and physicality is something which would really inject some intensity into the Devils blueline. He'll make a mistake here and there like any young blueliner, but his potential overall impact is something being overlooked by many Devils fans.
In Montreal, the media is acting like Owen Beck is some sort of revelation, but the fact is I was touting the kid all throughout the draft year and said multiple times he'd be a strong pick in the top 15. He's the perfect example of why you can't over-rely on stats with draft prospects and need to watch the players. He could pull a Patrice Bergeron and go straight from a 2nd-round pick to a top-6 NHL role.
