Polar opposite feelings after 1 period here compared to the utah game , aside from the Doughty Injury.

Q and Turcotte look great. Turcotte looks healthy, and Q might be the most gifted skater to ever wear a Kings jersey.

It’s unreal seeing a guy that big, move that quickly.
The most gifted? Well Dionne was pretty gifted and that 99 wasn't too bad even though he was an old man by the time LA got him,,,well 27-28 was old...meaning he had played a tonne of games and minutes...Byfield defintely has the tools and he needs to put it all together and utilize his linemates better too

He never was a speed merchant, but if he can add that to how he thinks the game, it would be a hell of a combo.
Turcotte's entire game is based on pace. Moving pucks quickly and efficiently up ice into the dangerous areas. It's not necessarily about foot speed or hand skill, just making the right reads and executing at pace. Closest comparable would be that part of Ryan O'Reilly's game. If he had that sturdiness, he would probably be one of those guys who fluctuates in the upper 50s to low 80s in numbers depending on the team makeup around him.

Exactly.

He thinks the game quickly, moves the puck quickly, makes snap reads to funnel pucks where they need to go.

His foot speed has always been run of the mill, so if he has indeed found a gear in that department, he could morph into a real pain in the ass.
