The thing that encourages me with Rakell so far today is that he's gotten some grade A chances, he just wasn't able to convert on them. That pass by Crosby jumped over his stick and he had a similar opportunity in the 1st.

He's going to score on those opportunities, so it's good to see him getting them.

The Smith-Rutta pair has been seemingly excellent whenever it has been together. Smith looks like a really solid puck mover and threat in the offensive zone, while not having many defensive miscues, while Rutta looks rock solid defensively.
