If they stink again I’ll never recover from it. I’ll be done with the organization. If the team sucks again this season I'm taking up a new sport. Might look into curling instead, maybe darts

We've spent years on this board arguing about how faceoffs dont matter, and grit doesn't matter and a whole load of stuffit’s in the post you quoted though - i doubt there’s a goalie coach in who has worse results than him over his tenure here. not sure how rogalski still has a job

Not always. Most of the naysayers just subscribe to the difference in faceoff rates being worth two faceoff wins per game. The problem is in how the stats are kept. At a minimum it’s pretty obvious clean wins defensively and offensively matter. Sure you have to work hard to make neutral zone faceoffs matter.Literally everyone here who says that also acknowledges some of the only faceoffs that are actually important are special teams.

I hope none of the NHL guys are going full-bore 100% in these games. They don't matter at all. I'd show up hungover to them if I showed up at all.
Patty Elias admitted that he never tried in the preseason. It does not matter at all.
Im not letting it dictate my feelings on next season - but its pretty sad they cant even compete with half of an NHL teamBig difference between saying preseason doesn’t matter and letting it dictate your feelings on the upcoming season.
Last season’s undefeated preseason should be enough of an example for this.
And I also am willing to give Keefe more rope than some others seem to be.
Going hard and not looking pathetic are two massively different thingsIt doesn’t f***ing matter. These are not children, largely, they’re tenured pros. expecting them to go hard in a meaningless game with an incomplete roster is kinda crazy. Preseason games aren’t for pretending it’s a real game, or even working out the system, it’s just for getting the feeling and schedule of playing games going again for those guys.
The penalty kill has been brutal, but that was another savable goal.
I don't think it's fair to say he's cooked yet, but 5 goals on 11 shots would have been quite a spectacle even for last season.PK sucked Allen is cooked.
