The Sabers did get screwed. They were an incredible team last year. I expect the same this season.
This looks about right to me. I imagine we potentially see a little bit more shifting in terms of what TB and others do to become cap compliant. I don't see NYI squeaking out a playoff berth this year.
Only fools bet on preseason games or against Barry Trotz making the playoffs. This looks about right to me. I imagine we potentially see a little bit more shifting in terms of what TB and others do to become cap compliant. I don't see NYI squeaking out a playoff berth this year.
If you think about it the Islanders were lucky to have made the playoffs last season. A huge reason for that was their 10 game winning streak from October 10, 2019 - November 5, 2019. However right before the regular season got suspended they were on a 7 game losing streak with a record of 0-3-4 and were technically out a playoff spot in both the Metropolitan and Wild Card, so they were lucky because of the points percentage and how that factored into the standings. This looks about right to me. They were falling because of several key injuries. When they got most of them back they won 2 1/2 playoff series. If you think about it the Islanders were lucky to have made the playoffs last season. Don't even start on how the Sabres got screwed last year.Sabres got screwed last year and now again this year. Having said that, they still squeak in.
Buffalo, Boston, Pittsburgh and Islanders will all be within two points of each other.
1. Flyers
2. Capitals
3. Rangers
4. Sabres
5. Penguins
6. Bruins
7. Islanders
8. Devils

Every team in the 24 playoff was considered to have made the playoffs so this is technically wrongI mean, they technically missed the playoffs last year.
Being in that division will be great for the teams profile. That divisio n should be one to watch. The Sabers did get screwed. They were an incredible team last year. I expect the same this season.
What precisely has Toronto done with their rebuild? Poking fun at Buffalo is all you really got I suppose.I still remember some Sabres fans saying how their rebuild was ahead of the Leafs and would soon be making the playoffs because they had just drafted Jack Eichel and made that trade for Ryan O'Reilly.
Islanders had a lot.of significant injuries that hurt them during the second half.of the regular season... When healthy they have proven to be one of the better teams on the league. They gave Tampa their toughest series and were the runner-up last year in my opinion. This looks about right to me.
