Looks like the Preds have sold out of their season tickets and have now gone to a wait list. Very promising news for a team in a non traditional market.

Season Tickets Waitlist

Any word on how much of the rink Nashville sets aside for STH vs single game seats?
Sean Henry told the media during the playoffs last year they are trying to cap season tickets at 14,000 to allow around 3100 available for the general public.

Did Carolina have a waiting list the year after they won the Cup?

I don’t remember but I kind of doubt it, considering they went from being terrible to a lockout year to a Cup and then right back to being terrible again. The heavy pressure on fans to invest in STs didn’t last very long.

No, in fact my family bought a mini plan around this time in 2006 that allowed us playoff priority which got us in the door for every playoff game.

As tarheel said, the inconsistency in Raleigh gutted any STH momentum we had between 2002 and 2009. Playoff runs were always followed up by missing out completely.

This is great news !

But am I the only one finding this a bit...expensive...for a waiting list ?
I understand that the amount probably gets credited for the purchase of the tickets later on.

This is what Habs do :

  • There is a $100 registration fee per ticket to purchase a maximum of 2 tickets. This fee is non-refundable, however it is applicable against the future purchase of season tickets.
  • A $39 annual administrative fee will also be required. This fee is non-refundable and not applicable against any purchase.

Considering it's less than 1.5 times the regular monthly payment if on a payment plan, it probably isn't considering there isn't any annual admin fee.

It does seem slightly expensive, but at the same time it probably eliminates the riff raff who aren't serious about it anyway, and will just create headaches when someone tries to track them down in 5 years.

Season Tickets Waitlist

Umm, not to be "that guy" but this doesn't imply they've sold out their season tickets. Its just a wait list to purchase season seats for next season after the current holders have renewed. Considering the amount of the deposit, its basically an early purchase of next years season tickets.

That's around the same number as the Knights.

They never released the actual STH figure, and I don't imagine they actually will now that they're a real team, but 14,500 is around the figure. Leaves enough room for the quarter/half season people, some walk up/single game, and your required holdouts for family, scouts, and such.

well considering they were over 13K at the end of May last year and they said the cap would be at 14K. They are pretty darn close if not sold out. And why would there be a wait list with down payment rather than just a mass announcement that they are for sale if they weren't sold out.

In the past, there has been a deadline of sometime in mid March to renew for current STH's. After that anyone could buy with no wait list.

This is great news for the team and fans. :)

Well it's not great news for the fans.....This means prices are going to skyrocket now. Good for the league and team though.

Playoff invoices came out today and they are double that of last year.

Probably my favorite non Devils team. I like that Nashville and Tampa are doing so well; definitely proof that hockey can succeed outside of the north if done right (and probably a bit of luck).

It's the same guy saying he can't wait until the Canes "rightfully" move. Not even worth answering

Man, as a Ducks fan I hate you guys, but even behind the hate I can see a lot of respect for your franchise. Just let us beat you guys when it matters for some time and I will be ready to fully admit respect
