Not too many names mentioned in this thread. Who impressed?
Kyrou didn't have the same impact as last game but he wasn't bad per se. Aside from that everyone looked good. Mete was the only player (aside from Fabbro obviously) who didn't record a point in the 2 games, and that doesn't say much because he was great

Makar looks like he is going to a good one, Foote has a better skill set than I thought he did. :thumbu:

The Swiss barely touched the puck. The bottom four teams are going to struggle badly but it will make the relegation battle interesting. Swiss will be right in the hunt to go down.

Hard to believe Mahura was cut. He looks better than Foote
Oh yeah easily was a top 3 d man on the ice last night. That's saying something when Makar, Mete and Clague are all playing. Great vision and skill from Mahura.

This is a modern hockey team. Incredible mobility and skill from the back end. The forwards are relentless.
The constant pressure from the forwards both back and forcheck allows the d to be active on the rush.

Might not be the best team on paper but the chemistry is undeniable. 4 lines deep top to bottom. While they didn't score Comtois Howden Formenton were a nightmare to play against. The relentless forcheck and puck pressure really wore the Swiss down. Clearly Finland will be a much tougher game but if Canada plays this style it's gonna be a really hard team to beat.

Also the puck followed Batherson around the ice tonight if he's the 13th forward then this team has some really great depth problems. So many players impressed me I honestly don't have the time to talk about all of them.

I mean at some point we are going to have to play in our own end and Foote has been great in both games....So not quite sure why he should be off the team for Mahura? I don't think we are short on offense from the blue line.
Mahura is a better fit for this team's style of play in my opinion. Not to say Foote wasn't strong I thought he was. Good problems to have.
