Him and Koenecny are both high motor players. Mitchell Stephens also wants to play aggressive high tempo. Their play will be crucial for Team Canada to succeed in this tournament.

My hope is all this sniping will disappear once the cuts are made. Need to be more positive on these threads.

Virtanen can be dominant if he chooses to be. Marner is a very young player in a 19 year old dominated tournament.

Canada is an underdog this year. Guys like Virtanen have to play up to their level. A guy like Marner will be a surprise if he dominates; that's just how this tournament works.

Hopefully Strome and Marner can be more consistent going forward, as they are clearly Canada's two best players and are needed if the team is going to win gold. They need to focus on making higher percentage plays and not always going for the highlight pass. Both have loads of talent and if they are consistent should do very well.

Very happy with Czech performance, great game, I didn't expect this outcome. Oh and Konecny is so good, I am really excited about him. Both goalies were excellent today.

He might be cut (it's entirely possible), but his rationale (somehow losing a "battle" to Lauzon because Lauzon was scratched) was dumber than dumb.

Without getting into a big thing, you definitely went to far saying not even comparable. Marner didn't do really anything today. Yesterday he absolutely dominated but was much less effective today. Virt on the other hand. Aside from him scoring yesterday i thought he had several good strong takes to the net today that ended up as scoring chances. Wouldn't go nearly as far as saying not even comparable.
