Montembeault is cannon fodder. HuGo know this is going to be a struggle this season.

I wanted them to cut everybody, but I understand what they are doing. I think they will be testing the water for about 10-15 regular season games.

Hey! They can't do much because of all the loser contracts they have.

Enough F'ing around with the lineup. I still have no clue who can play with Suzuki and Caufield. Slaf won't be able to handle the minutes/matchups. Anderson has zero puck possession skills. Hoffman doesn't execute very many good hockey plays and his shot is over-rated. Drouin doesn't have the compete necessary to merit 1st line duties and when he has shown some jam, he ends up injured. I would use Evans if we keep Dach and Monahan at C.
I get we want to see what lies down the road but most of those guys are nothing more than warm bodies.

Man, I just can't get over that Hoffman contract!

At least Drouin, Dadonov & Byron are all done after this year.

Really hope we buy-out Hoffman next summer.

And, we need Armia to play well enough to be tradeable at the deadline. We might get a 2nd for him; hopefully in 2023.

With all the practice he will be getting, maybe he will become the best goalie ever?? Gotta think positive.
Yeah, we had a thread based on a similar premise. Lolzner was dubbed as Petry’s most reliable partner ever. :sarcasm:

Unfortunately, thinking positive didn’t work as Lolzner soon transitioned to AHLzner.

Yup, I think Evans might also be worth a try. He can certainly skate with them.

This would be my starting lineup without Edmundston and Byron still injured.

Monahan-Suzuki-Caufield
Dadonov-Dach-Anderson
Pitick-Dvorak-Gallagher
Hoffman-Evans-Armia

Pezzetta & Drouin

Matheson-Barron
Harris-Savard
Xhekaj-Wideman
Leskinen

Allen
Montenblow

I got a feeling Barron should also play in the AHL but with Edmundston injured and nobody else available he might get the nod to start the season in the NHL.

Jackeye certainly didn’t look out of place.
Reading the Sens board is hilarious. They’re acting like Kastelic had a big win in the “fight,” where he tossed the gloves and started throwing well before Xhekaj, only to pull the chute and “fall” (wink wink) when Xhekaj got straightened around and had him in a vulnerable spot.

Video tells the story. Kastelic’s balance issues only kicked in when he started to take a couple.

There will be a rematch.

Yeah but … whenever you’re faced with turmoil and uncertainty, just ask yourself: what does it look like from 10,000 feet above?
