Pretty impressive that most everyone has looked good. I like what I see from Pono. Rees was on fire this period. Noeson and Stepan were great. Kotkaniemi and Necas looked good. A lot of competition for that 12/13/14 forward spot.

I'll be surprised if Bear is in the starting line-up opening night. From what I read, they are running Coghlan on the 2nd PP unit in practice regularly so I would assume he will be in that role opening night as well.

RBA also broke up the CDH-Bear pairing he had been going with in camp and a few games. I bet we see CDH-Coglan tomorrow.

Oh, and someone commented that Burns likes to shoot a lot. While that's true, he doesn't just take a lot of low chance shots. Many of the shots he takes are decent scoring chances, whether it's because he's sneaking down for a cross ice pass as we saw 2 or 3 times this period, or moving slightly at the point both to open shooting lanes and allow for rebounds/deflections. His offensive instincts are impressive.
