Drury’s gotten into 2 games so far, scored a goal and has been used a lot on the PK. I think him being on the opening night roster is a foregone conclusion.

I think they want to re-sign Stepan, but without putting both Gardiner and Pacioretty on LTIR, that’s not really possible without exposing Coghlan or Chatfield to waivers. Keeping Stepan may depend on whether or not they can get rid of Bear.

agreed on Drury. with DeHaan signed, available roster spot(s) are at a premium. 21 skaters max so its 14 forwards and 7 dmen or 13/8. Assuming 14/7 configuration, and with Drury, Case and Stastny are in the top 12, its Noesen and Stepan as 13th and 14th IMO. they have to go 13/8 with the current depth on D. Bear trade looks to be inevitable.
