I don't feel good at all right now, 3 of our top 4 D hurt before the season has even started. Good call on the 8 games TNSE

I know the preseason means nothing (to self: stay positive, life is good, I have my health ) but ..... ( to self: remember to be positive, negativity not allowed ) well, at least the preseason is over. There... I was positive.

Thanks for coming out guys. They better do a full 180 starting tuesday. As a team, there is not just a switch you can hit to turn it up, thats the thing. Ya it is pre-season, but people need to realize its not a pick up, pond hockey game. You lay a stinker like this, it can carry over into next game. There is no automatic switch in hockey.

Did you know since 2004 not one team has made it in the playoffs with lower than a 25% win percentage in the pre-season ;)

The same people that say the preseason means absolutely nothing are the same people that think their team has a chance at winning the Stanley Cup after just squeaking into the playoffs with a 10 game losing streak.

Yes the preseason "results" mean nothing, but how you actually play ( effort / heart ) IMO still mean something. Nobody finishes the preseason like we did, flips a switch, and starts the season off winning games.... nobody. But I hope they prove me wrong.

If Buff is out for awhile, do they play a 19 year old rookie in top 4, 2nd pairing?

If not Trouba, then who? Postma?

This might get ugly quick.

Agreed 100%. Hope they can do it, but its not easy as a player/ team to flip a switch.

It most def could get ugly if that is the case, Enstrom, Bogo, Clitsome, Trouba, Stuart, Postma
Yes, that could get ugly. I don't even want to think about it if Bogo or Clitty can't go.

Ok I was at piece with getting tuned tonight but a fit a Buff going down has me depressed. If my math is correct that leaves Toby as our only healthy Top 4 D man heading into the season. That and Wheeler is hurt.

Jeezum crow! Couldn't we at least have 20 or 30 games before the wheels fall off? Is that so much to ask?

Boston had 1-3-1 which is a 20% win percentage in 2010.

And then they won the Stanley Cup.

EDIT: Pittsburgh was 1-4-1 in 2009

EDIT2: NYR was 1-5-0 in 2008...I'm starting to think you were making a joke for the people who were putting too much stock into these pre-season games.

EDIT3: Boston, Pittsburgh and Calgary all did it in 2007. Can't find pre-season stats prior to 2007.
