Thats true. But Burmi broke up a lot of plays, too. Something I haven't much noticed from Frolik during the 3 games I saw.

Burmi was also great at carrying the puck out of danger - of course sometimes he'd hang on to it too long which led to some highly visible turnovers

Frolik was a solid addition, but Burmistrov is better. Key difference being he's way more physical... he was one of the top bodycheckers on the Jets. Opposing PBP teams would constantly credit him. I don't know why that aspect of his game seemed to go unnoticed around here.

He did break up a lot of plays, but that's what people (myself included) remember.

What doesn't stick out as much is the times he missed. Frolik is better at clogging up passing/shooting lanes. A more passive defense. But not any less effective.

I do disagree with what seems a main stream consensus regarding Minnesota, Nashville, Colorado and Dallas - they aren't very strong teams at all

Minny is pretty good. I wouldn't call them contenders, but they are a pretty solid team. Dallas, Colorado I never get, they both have good points. But Dallas has no depth, weak D, not much top end talent either. They are vastly overrated IMO. Colorado is like the Oilers, young, fast, skilled. But still upcoming, I still see them as a 6th-7th place finish in the Central. Nashville I can understand ranking higher then us, awesome goalie and coach, good systems, just lack top end talent and scoring.

Noel concentrates too hard on screwing up forward lines to have time to mess up the defense pairings too
