I feel like CBJ might have been tougher. I don't know.

Guess it doesn't matter now, but of course, no one out there is giving us a chance on this board anyway

I really didn't care either way who we played, like choosing between death by club or sword lol.

Boston is the "stereotypical" juggernaut.

CBJ would have been on some crazy / magical hot streak to get past the Bruins, which is scary, too.

It is what is. LOL and I like being the underdogs -- that's been our thing all year, why change it now ;)

I can't believe thats been 10 years. Well I mean I can but I still remember watching that game sweating bullets the whole time. Was absolutely pissed at that BS Bruins goal that was allowed when there should have been a face-off in the neutral zone but thankfully none of that mattered.

I'm pretty sure I almost broke my laptop when Walker scored. What a moment.

Welp, at least we're rested up lol.

I'm assuming it will get really ugly between the fans. At least last round was pretty peaceful.

Don't you know that everything's on FIRE?

Am I crazy to not really be that impressed by BOS so far?

On paper, they have better forwards and more proven goaltending, edge in D goes to CAR. I really like the Canes’ chances against them. As long as they nab a win in 1 of the first 2 games, I see the Canes going to the Finals.

A healthy Ferland or Martinook will be key I think for team toughness, but I’m not really that worried about their physicality. Stay the course, hopefully Mrazek stays solid in net and I’ll say Canes in 6.

Yeah, we got the Bruins. Played them close all year.....

I remember the first game that Scott Darling was in net and probably played the worst game out of any goalie I've ever seen.

Should have won the season series

We skated circles around them all 3 games, honestly. The games we lost were super close, the one we beat them in we were clearly the better team.

I think if McAvoy gets suspended at all (50/50 on it at this point), it's just 1 game.

With you. The league has acknowledged the existence of a conversion rate for suspensions as you get deeper into the playoffs (2 regular season games == 1 first round playoff game, etc.)

May have been a few games in the regular season but in the conference finals I’d guess one. Especially with no history.

I didn't watch all the games, but I was pretty impressed by them in the games I did watch. Their top line is fantastic and Pastrnak is heating up now (struggled earlier). They are getting good contributions from their next tier of guys (Krecji, DeBrusk, Coyle etc..) and their 4th line is also playing well. Their D struggles to move the puck some, but they've done a great job at cleaning up any loose pucks in front of the net and tying up / clearing out any opponents to limit 2nd chances and Rask has played well. Their PP has been very good PK has been aggressive and done pretty well also. They also don't panic even when losing a game or getting behind.

They are a complete team right now playing with confidence and motivation. Going to be a challenge.

Hey guys! Looking forward to the series...you guys have played some unbelievable hockey these playoffs.

Hopefully will get down to NC for Game 3 or 4...I've been to about half the rinks in the league, but haven't gotten down there for a game yet!

2009 still stings...and I'm sure I'll see Walker's winner a whole bunch the next couple weeks.

As far as the PP goes, we completed a series win against Washington and got the majority of the Islanders sweep with no PP goals. It'll be nice if we can get the PP going, but just keep on with the outstanding 5 v 5 play and we'll stay in it.

Any team that makes it this far has to be good and some kind of playing well. I expect a good series from both sides.

Canes implemented a new rule that you have to wear a Canes jersey if you go to the game. Also if you order nachos to share, one person can’t just hog all the ones with meat and stuff on them.

Crazy new rules but I mean I guess if they’re rules you have to follow them.

Thanks and I hope you enjoy your trip. Weather should be good so let us know if you need any recommendations on where to stay, eat, etc...

As for the Walker's winner thing, we Canes fan are pretty much over that so I doubt you'll see it very much.

cheers.
