Do you guys think Dallas would trade Seguin for Jones?

Johnston, Benn, Duchene, Dadonov and Borque all need contracts next year. Meanwhile on D they could use someone stronger next to Heiskanen, Harley and Lindell. Only options are Dumba, Lundkvist, Bischel and Lyubushkin.

I think it makes more sense to upgrade on D when they have more ready forwards.

Seguin in our till April unfortunately, I don't think they would do him dirty. But maybe we can revisit this in the off-season.

Dumba + Marchement would be even better, but I dont think that is something Dallas would do.

Probably not, Seguin-Duchene-Marchment was Dallas best line before Seguin got injured.

Seguin's contract is shorter than Jones's.

You watch Hall play and it's hard to have any pity for him. He scored tonight but god damn is he an ineffective hockey player at this point. Tries to beat guys wide with speed but as soon as they close on him he just loses possession of the puck or slaps it around the boards as hard as he can. He rarely comes out of a battle with the puck. There were so many instances tonight where Hall could have asserted himself more in a battle or on a backcheck and just nothing.

Miller is 31 and apparently a headcase. No way I want him around a rebuilding club with a limited leadership group.

As for Marner, I doubt Leafs let him go. Tavares, on the other hand, should be available who I wouldn't mind for a reasonable cost.

Petterson is a CLASSIC top 10 player in the league needing a change of scenery. Miller and Media have ginded him down. You throw the kitchen sink. He's the Hossa acquisition, just premature in our timeline so it isn't a perfect fit.

Jones at 6.5M would be a pretty nice piece I'd add to it as well. It would effectively make EP a 14.6M player on your roster which is about 1-1.5M more than he's worth but 13M is like what you're paying Marner or Rantanen anyway.
