These are my super-early picks. I've only really started digging into this year's draft a couple weeks ago.

Celebrini 1
Levshunov 2
Lindstrom 3
Dickinson 4
Catton 5
Eiserman 6
Helenius 7
Parekh 8
Demidov 9
Silayev 10
Buium 11
Greentree 12
Yakemchuk 13
Connelly 14
Jirocek 15
Iginla 16

I'll throw my current top 16 down;

1. Celebrini
2. Demidov
3. Lindstrom
4. Levshunov
5. Parekh
6. Yakemchuk
7. Silayev
8. Iginla
9. Buium
10. Catton
11. Dickinson

Tier break (good forwards to bet-on)

12. Helenius
13. Chernyshov
14. Eiserman
15. Connelly
16. Greentree

I don't know the order after Celebrini at #1 but I know the Hawks have 7 picks in the top-70 with 2 in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd and 2 in the 3rd. After Celebrini with the 1st pick I want large forwards and RD's.

Swap Catton and Lindstrom and I think that's how its likely to play out on draft day. Maybe Iginla a little higher too.

I also got some players like Kiviharju and Jiricek higher than others have them and higher than where they'll be picked. I think if both had played full seasons they would be like top 10 picks or very close to it. I think they are two of the value players for this draft. If they can stay on the ice, they have potential to rise a lot post-draft.

Is Lindstrom a man among boys though?

Catton definitely has a better skillset and hockey IQ but this draft is really hard to pin down.

All I know is that Celebrini is going #1 then there are about 500 different combinations for the next 15 picks and the order that will depend on how these guys finish and what NHL teams think and do and project.

Maybe it's just me but there seem to be a lot of guys that some people have in their top 5 that a lot of other people have closer to 15.

Harrison Brunicke seems like a real wild card...1st rounder on some lists; not in top 100 in others. Seems like he should be in the top 40 of this draft.

Actually having some games in for players now and some confidence in opinions now.

Couple of favourite Ds have emerged for me. Dickinson being my favourite and Buium not far off. Levshunov is guy that can potentially hit really big but I have more questions about his IQ and defensive play when compared to Buium/Dickinson.

Cayden Lindstrom is also intriguing case that I still have bit of trouble to figure where he is at.

My favourite forwards after Celebrini are basically Helenius and Iginla right now. Catton, Demidov and Eiserman all fighting for same spot and I could be convinced to have them go before. Its just about picking different upsides.

Zayne Parekh is kind of an intriguing guy who is bit harder to project where he is at. I dont necessarily like his pace always and he can make panick decisions a bit more than i like on defensive side as well when he is pressured.

Still need to watch more Lindstrom after he recovers from his injury and to figure out where he really is at.

I thought I was crazy having Buium so high (he’s my #1 D right now). I think he becomes the best from this class.

Anyways, good to see others are pretty high on him too.

Edit: My top 3 is definitely set. As of right now, my 4-12 could pretty much go in any order imo. 13-32 is essentially the same. There are some players I obviously prefer, but I think this is a weaker draft outside of the top 12.

My list is probably worth less then most others because I don't really watch full games of junior hockey except in international competition and the memorial cup. However, I've listened to every podcast imaginable in french or english about the draft and I've watched highlights of the 32 players I'm ranking here.

My list for what it's worth (which is nothing). Tiers are roughly in descending order of interest. In other words, I would be ecstatic to get a player from the top tier, less so for the second tier, and so on. I stopped at 22 because that's where my interest in other prospects really drops.

1. Celebrini
2. Demidov
3. Catton
4. Lindstrom

5. Buium

I thought I was crazy having Buium so high (he’s my #1 D right now). I think he becomes the best from this class.

Anyways, good to see others are pretty high on him too.

Out of all the defensive prospects available at the top of the draft, Buium most closely resembles the modern day elite defensemen taking over the game. I'm not as active this year in watching prospects but he gave me the most glimpses of what I seek with a high D-man pick.

Completely. His mobility allows him to do so many things that I just don’t see from the others.

I’d argue the most important ability for a D today is to retrieve the puck cleanly, escape forecheckers, and move the puck up ice. Buium doesn’t spend much time in is own zone because he’s so good at this.

Like, Dickinson is noted as a strong skater, so is Parekh but I don’t see them ever being near as dynamic of skaters as Buium - it closely resembles how Hughes, and Makar can turn on a dime and lose pressure.

My initial top 32 ranking. This doesn't take into account specific team needs, but does reflect the positional value of D and C over wings:
  1. Celebrini
  2. Silayev
  3. Levshunov
  4. Dickinson
  5. Demidov
  6. Catton
  7. Lindstrom
  8. Parekh
  9. Helenius
  10. Buium
  11. Iginla
  12. Boisvert
  13. Freij
  14. Eiserman
  15. Greentree
  16. Connelly*
  17. Emery
  18. Hemming
  19. O’Reilly
  20. Mews
  21. Brandsegg-Nygard
  22. Roberts
  23. Bednarik
  24. LSW
  25. Hage
  26. Shuravin
  27. Basha
  28. Fischer
  29. Ritchie
  30. Badinka
  31. Yakemchuk
  32. Sennecke
*I don't know that I am comfortable spending a 1st on Connelly based on character concerns, but this is how I would rank him as player.

Here's my March Rankings

I look at things through a fantasy lens as I am in multiple dynasty leagues so I look for upside with productivity and dynamism more than others. Other big traits I seek are heavy compete, solid skating, and NHL projectability. I've listened to tons of podcasts and watched enough video to make your eyes bleed. I'm open to any discussion and disagreements on my list as I am by no means an expert at this.

Tiers are 1, 2-9, 10-22, 23-33, 33-45, 45-75. Sadly you could flip flop 90% of these 45-75 and it wouldn't be much difference to me at this point. After 33, the tiers really drop off and continue to be difficult to determine player upside.

EDIT: I should note I haven't scouted any goalies this year hence why none are in my list. I have a ton on my fantasy rosters and from my listening - I haven't heard any worth spending time on at this time. Seems like a fairly weak class and I likely wouldn't pick any until late 2nd/early 3rd.
