How the draft will play out in my opinion

Chi - Bedard
Ana - Fantili
Clb - Carlsson (JK is drafting the bigger center here over Smith)
SJ - Smith (not a chance SJ passes on Smith at 4)
Mon - Reinbacher (Mtl may like someone like Dvorsky but ultimately they go with their future #1)
Ari - Leonard/Dvorsky/Michkov (Likely Dvrosky whilst Leonard falls to Phi but who know)
Phi - Dvorsky/Leonard/Michkov (They need everything so it could be anyone but my bet is one of these 3)
Was - Michkov/Leonard/Dvorsky (dont see Michkov dropping past Was)
Det - Benson (I think Yzerman swings for the fences here)
Stl - Danielsson (the tools, size and motor isnt something STL will want to pass up on regardless of who else remains)
Van - Willander (confident that this is who the Canucks take unless any of the 5 above fall)
Ott - ASP (smooth skating defenseman that can help with zone exits as they were at the bottom of the league in this regard)
Buf - Wood (Tage Thompson 2.0 enough said - Buffalo is going to be scary)
Pit - Perreault (Crosbys replacement)
Nsh - Barlow (Heavy shot and physicality to play alongside Forsberg)

I admire your boldness. I don't like it, but I admire it hahaha. You did my boy Zach Benson dirty hahahaha

I also have zero idea what the hell you value in your players. At first I thought it was size. Then it was NHL readiness and then I just gave up hahahaha

Yager, Dragicevic, and Danielson over Fantilli is certainly an opinion lol.

Lots of overrated WHL guys here... 7 in your top 15...

So you're saying that the Coyotes will trade the Ottawa pick back to them?

And how did they lose 8-0 to Sweden, whose top players he has ranked much lower.
Maybe but he's got Leo Carlsson (I know he played the WJC20, not the WJC18) at 2 and Tom Willander at 22 which is higher than most have them.

I wonder how shocked he was that Canada didn’t run through the recent U18 WC with ease considering those rankings.
Because they're always missing quite a few of the top players, the team doesn't have time to get chemistry with a proper training camp and the players just come out of a playoff series most times so they're running on fumes. I never expect much from Canada at the u18s, that is the us's tournament they basically train all year for.

They lost to Sweden 15-2. Not US, Sweden

With the draft coming up in 10 days, here is my final top 15, with only 2 defensemen in it. This is a forward heavy draft in the top talent IMO.

I know there is a lot of unpredictability in draft lists after the top-5, but I have seen ASP, Willander and Simashev all over the place. From anywhere in the 5-10 range to late-1st or even outside the 1st round.

If ASP makes it to 20, let him keep falling.
If Willander makes it to 20, be happy.
If Simashev makes it to 20, rejoice!

Willander and Simashev are very controversial indeed and I agree this draft is completegoly unpredictable.

However, I have not seen a single even half credible source rank Sandin-Pellikka outside of the 1st round. From what I see he's actually one of the most consistently ranked players. Most have him go very much in the middle of the 1st round and I think that's fair. I have my concerns as well but his upside is too high to fall out of the 1st round and I think he's too good to bust if he isn't rushed. He's gonna play.

How would you say he compares to Boqvist, Brannstrom, Lundqvist, Sandin, and Soderstrom? All those guys are okay at what they do, they can play, but unless they are huge producers then teams don't want them. Several of them had more offensive skill as draft prospects than ASP. I can see a lot of clubs saying "he looks like he'll be a decent NHLer but not what we need".

He reminds me of Boqvist. I wrote that myself in earlier posts. I think Boqvist's development was ruined though. He never seemed to have the strength needed to compete at NHL level...he's allergic to contact and keeps on getting hurt...I can't tell whether that's on him or his teams...probably a bit of both. Most importantly though he was rushed. By the Bluejackets after the trade but especially by the Blackhawks he was exposed to situations he wasn't ready for. I think Boqvist would be a much better player now if his teams just accepted that he's a project, not a finished player. The same goes for Sandin-Pellikka. He does have two things going for him though. He most likely, unlikely Boqvist, won't be a top10 pick so immediate expectations are gonna be lower, he's more likely to get time. Secondly, he apparantly had very good results at the combine which is an important step in the right direction. Makes him turning into Boqvist 2.0 less likely already.

I had him at 17 I believe and I think he's gonna go somewhere in or around the 11-20 area.
