somewhere around nothing
1. Montreal Canadiens: Shane Wright
- Not the best player in this draft imo but probably most guaranteed pick. Since every insider and expert have Wright as 1st overall, im not gonna fight the windmills here.

2. New Jersey Devils: Juraj Slafkovsky
- I can not think of anyone who's more perfect pick than Slafkovsky for the Devils. Future top-6 powerforward & PP1 net front guy and perfect linemate for Hughes and Hischier.

3. Arizona Coyotes: Matt Savoie
- Best player in this draft imo. Elite hockey IQ, elite hands, elite speed, everything what Savoie does is elite. His size and uncertainty of his position drops him a bit and also because Slaf is a perfect fit for the Devils. But i wouldn't worry about his position, Savoie is elite, it doesn't matter if he's center or winger. He's also quite stocky already and his going to get more muscle on the way.

4. Seattle Kraken: Simon Nemec
-
🎶I'd get it one piece at a time and it wouldn't cost me a dime🎶 I've heard from reliable source that Ron Francis sings this song all the time. Last year he selected his center foundation piece, this year is defenseman turn.

5. Philadelphia Flyers: Logan Cooley
- Lucky day for Philly, BPA and they get Giroux's replacement immediately.

6. Columbus Blue Jackets: David Jiricek
- Last year Kekäläinen picked every center who wasn't nailed down, but Seth Jones hasn't been replaced yet. But Jiricek will fix that problem.

7. Ottawa Senators: Jonatan Lekkerimäki
- This is like asking what to give a rich person as a birthday gift. Ottawa wants more goals, therefore best sniper in this draft goes to Ottawa.

8. Detroit Red Wings: Marco Kasper
- fast, smart, hard working 200-foot game center who plays in SHL. Yzerman is written all over this one.

9. Buffalo Sabres: Cutter Gauthier
- Buffalo is looking to change the team culture and there's no better way than to draft Gauthier.

10. Anaheim Ducks: Kevin Korchinski
- Pat Verbeek worked several years for Yzerman and he learned one thing, you can never go wrong when you pick a mobile 6'2'' defenseman.

11. San Jose Sharks: Conor Geekie
- Sharks keep building their future core, adding one more potential top-6 center

12. Columbus Blue Jackets: Frank Nazar the 3rd
- BPA, Kekäläinen steals another center.

13. New York Islanders: Joakim Kemell
- Isles needs offense and goals, Kemell brings in both.

14. Winnipeg Jets: Denton Mateychuk
- Sounds like there's going to be rebuild in Winnipeg, but at least the defense needs re-tooling. Mateychuk is a good piece to start with.

15. Vancouver Canucks: Danila Yurov
- BPA, they got Podkolzin already and they signed Kuzmenko. It is going to be easier lure Yurov along when he has his fellow russians already in the team.

16. Buffalo Sabres: Brad Lambert
- Buffalo takes a calculated risk, Lambert has the skill but he still needs maturing.

17. Nashville Predators: Rutger McGroarty
- BPA

18. Dallas Stars: Isaac Howard
- Skill is disappearing from Dallas, Howard can change that.

19. Los Angeles Kings: Jimmy Snuggerud
- Dustin Brown's replacement eventually.

20. Washington Capitols: Pavel Mintyukov
- BPA

21. Pittsburg Penguins: Liam Öhgren
- Could be a future trade bait or one first pieces of post-Crosby era.

22. Anaheim Ducks: Noah Östlund
- Middle-6 center/winger, nice backup to have if and when Zegras/McTavish gets injured.

23. St. Louis Blues: Tristan Luneau
- Once young and powerful Blues D-corps is starting to age up, they should start preparing for a re-tooling. Since d-men takes longer to develop.

24. Minnesota Wild: Ivan Miroshnichenko
- Minnesota use to be Finnesota, but now Minnesota have newly found success with russian's. At this point Miroshnichenko is worh to gamble.

25. Toronto Maple Leafs: Ryan Chesley
- Another cheap d-men in sight, in the near future for the Leafs.

26. Montreal Canadiens: Nathan Gaucher
- Since the draft is in Montreal, Habs has to pick a kid from QMJHL.

27. Arizona Coyotes: Lian Bichsel
- Coyotes haven't really stocked up their defense yet but now with the 2nd first round pick they take the best d-man available.

28. Buffalo Sabres: Maveric Lamoureux
- A pair for Power.

29. Edmonton Oilers: Filip Mesar
- Kenny goes BPA, salary cap requires Oilers to find skill.

30. Winnipeg Jets: Owen Pickering
- Jets keeps building their blueline.

31. Tampa Bay Lightning: Jiri Kulich
- BPA

32. Arizona Coyotes: Ty Nelson
- Another D-man to Arizona and a potential pair for Bichsel.

Have you not been paying attention?

Just in the last few weeks, we've seen Pronman or Wheeler's poll have most scouts with Wright 2nd, Chris Peters had Wright 2nd, the Blackbook and their quoted team scouts having Wright 2nd, and just before you posted, Bob's poll came out, with Wright 2nd.

I guess i haven't but before last few weeks, Wright was a undisputed 1st overall last 2 years. But i guess the experts and insiders are finally seeing what i've seen this past year.

Lol I'm guessing you haven't heard of Johnston, Stankoven, or Bourque yet.
I referred to this
Pavelski, 37
Radulov, 35(left back to Russia)
Benn, 32
Seguin, 30
+ Comeau, Raffl, Glendening, Namestnikov

But i guess better choice of words would have been better, like "Dallas forward core is aging" or something like that. Hintz, Robertson, Johnston, Stankoven and Bourque is a good start, but only the first two are proven in NHL level. Dallas needs more depth and that's why i think Isaac Howard would fit in very well.

This board tends to value speed and skill over size and strength more than your usual scouts. I am in that camp as well.

- Buffalo is looking to change the team culture and there's no better way than to draft Gauthier.

10. Anaheim Ducks: Kevin Korchinski
- Pat Verbeek worked several years for Yzerman and he learned one thing, you can never go wrong when you pick a mobile 6'2'' defenseman.

11. San Jose Sharks: Conor Geekie
- Sharks keep building their future core, adding one more potential top-6 center

12. Columbus Blue Jackets: Frank Nazar the 3rd
- BPA, Kekäläinen steals another center.

13. New York Islanders: Joakim Kemell
- Isles needs offense and goals, Kemell brings in both.

14. Winnipeg Jets: Denton Mateychuk
- Sounds like there's going to be rebuild in Winnipeg, but at least the defense needs re-tooling. Mateychuk is a good piece to start with.

15. Vancouver Canucks: Danila Yurov
- BPA, they got Podkolzin already and they signed Kuzmenko. It is going to be easier lure Yurov along when he has his fellow russians already in the team.

16. Buffalo Sabres: Brad Lambert
- Buffalo takes a calculated risk, Lambert has the skill but he still needs maturing.

17. Nashville Predators: Rutger McGroarty
- BPA

18. Dallas Stars: Isaac Howard
- Skill is disappearing from Dallas, Howard can change that.

19. Los Angeles Kings: Jimmy Snuggerud
- Dustin Brown's replacement eventually.

20. Washington Capitols: Pavel Mintyukov
- BPA

21. Pittsburg Penguins: Liam Öhgren
- Could be a future trade bait or one first pieces of post-Crosby era.

22. Anaheim Ducks: Noah Östlund
- Middle-6 center/winger, nice backup to have if and when Zegras/McTavish gets injured.

23. St. Louis Blues: Tristan Luneau
- Once young and powerful Blues D-corps is starting to age up, they should start preparing for a re-tooling. Since d-men takes longer to develop.

24. Minnesota Wild: Ivan Miroshnichenko
- Minnesota use to be Finnesota, but now Minnesota have newly found success with russian's. At this point Miroshnichenko is worh to gamble.

25. Toronto Maple Leafs: Ryan Chesley
- Another cheap d-men in sight, in the near future for the Leafs.

26. Montreal Canadiens: Nathan Gaucher
- Since the draft is in Montreal, Habs has to pick a kid from QMJHL.

27. Arizona Coyotes: Lian Bichsel
- Coyotes haven't really stocked up their defense yet but now with the 2nd first round pick they take the best d-man available.

28. Buffalo Sabres: Maveric Lamoureux
- A pair for Power.

29. Edmonton Oilers: Filip Mesar
- Kenny goes BPA, salary cap requires Oilers to find skill.

30. Winnipeg Jets: Owen Pickering
- Jets keeps building their blueline.

31. Tampa Bay Lightning: Jiri Kulich
- BPA

32. Arizona Coyotes: Ty Nelson
- Another D-man to Arizona and a potential pair for Bichsel.
If the Jets draft 2 LHD when that is probably their position of strength I think some people will be disappointed.
