Post-lockout Lineup

Dumont. He'd at least fit on a 4th line. Putting Gomez with Moen and White is going to create a line with no identity.

If this whole ''no excuses/accountability'' stuff that management has preached is truly legit, Gomez should be nowhere near this roster if his camp is lackluster. We're paying him real $ and he's on the cap regardless of where he plays, so that should not be a factor.

I agree I was just saying that there's no way that can Gomez be on the first three lines if everyone is heathly. It's true that he's not much use on the fourth line either.

Pressbox it could be waiting for an injury.

Why would Bergevin let Galchenyuk start his NHL career on a mediocre team? Let him gain more confidence in the OHL for the rest of the year and bring him up next year!

He has no trade value, you're living in a dream world if you think him dominating the swiss league during a lockout means jack. He has no size and isn't physical enough to have a career in the nhl, and in 2 years will not be with this team and likely not in the nhl.
Wrong. Wrong, and more wrong. Diaz will be a Top-4 defenseman after 2 more years. And because he earnt it, not by default.

lol no you are right, I could see him being at the all star game in 2015.
Yeah because a top-4 defenseman on a team means a top-15 defenseman in the league.

Diaz has the potential to be a 30-40 point defenseman who knows his position. He's great positionally and although weak physically, he will still work the body if its needed.

He said a top-4 defenseman, not one the four best in the entire league.

And I agree on Diaz, he could be another Mark Streit.

Diaz needs lots of work to be Streit. Streit is one of the smartest players in the game, IMO. One of my favourites so I'm biased maybe, but with intangibles he has, Streit would have been a franchise D man if he would have been raised in the Canadian system.

If Diaz can play at the level he did at the first of last season then that would be great.

If he plays like he did in the early second half of last season, then - he will have a hold time keeping his spot vs. our emmerging prospects in the future.

Any interest in signing some of the remaining UFA? I see Dom Moore is out there. Not sure where he'd fit, but may be a better option than White as 4th line C.

Other then Galchenyuk, wich Hamilton player will get invite to the camp?
With only 7 defenceman healthy in Hamilton will Tinordi St-Denis or Commodore get the call?

If Therrien doesn't want to rock the boat

Patches - DD - Cole
Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
Prust - Eller - Moen
White - Gomez - Armstrong
Nokia

If Therrien is ready to try some new combinations

Patches - Plekanec - Gionta
Moen - DD - Cole
Prust - Eller - Bourque
White - Gomez - Armstrong

If Therrien wants to go crazy grit

Patches - Plekanec - Bourque
Prust - DD - Cole
Moen - Eller - Gionta
White - Gomez - Armstrong

Any lineup that gets Bourque to the right wing is a winning lineup to me. I also think Moen needs to stay off the fourth line, same to Prust and both being left wings naturally, that might cause some trouble.

Dumont should be up. He's earned it and it's a need if Nokelainen isn't ready to play due to injury.

St. Denis: Depends on waiver rules.

I wouldn't call up any of the other kids. None of them has earned a call-up to the NHL. Gallagher has come the closest, but he hasn't blown that league apart either.

Commodore can't skate at an NHL level.

hahaha!

But seriously if gally makes the team

Pacioretty-desharnais-cole
Bourque-Plekanec- Gionta
Galchenyuk-Eller-Armstrong/moen
Prust-White-Armstrong/moen
Nokeleinen
but gomer in the minor seriously as they currently are the worst AHL team gomer wont make them worst

Gorges-Subban
Markov-diaz
Emelin-bouillon
Kaberle-Weber
Like this every D plays in there respective side. Diaz. bouillon and weber are switchable on marky s side. And im doing a rotation between the 3rd and the 4th pair depending on who im playing against. If i play boston or philly im playing emelin bouillon and if i play vs pittsburg etc ill put Kaberle-weber... well... something like this lol

Agree on most part but don't you think that Blunden and Nattinen could also participate to the camp? To me Nattinen have been one of the best forward so far this year in Hamilton while playing mostly with Hagel and Stortini. Blunden look very good at 5 on 5 as well since the start of the season.

I think if 1 thing has been proven clear at the WJC, Galchenyuk as a 12-15 minute player does not work. It should be top 6 or Sarnia...with Sarnia being the far more likely destination.

agreed bro top 6 or juniors and he takes over next year

Apparently Nattinen had his arm in a sling on Friday night, so he's injured too seriously to come up.

Blunden, sure, whatever.

I know he was injured but did'n know it was serious....sadly.

Then they should invite;

Galchenyuk
Dumont
Leblanc
Blunden
St-Denis
