Has anyone been to a game yet this year at the Skydome? I'm going tomorrow and I got an email saying each person (theres 4 of us) has to have them on either the MLB, Blue Jays Account Manager  or Ticketmaster app.

When they were sent to me I had them downloaded on Apple Wallet, does anyone know if they will accept that and for all 4 people? I.e. they just can the tickets open my phone.
MY buddy sent the tickets through Ticketmaster to each of us. I downloaded mine from the mobile web app onto Apple Wallet the day before and had no problem at the gate.

Have they said if Pearson rehabbed to play this year out of the pen and plans to have sports hernia surgery in the offseason? I know a lot require surgery to be fully healed.

All of a sudden Oakland is in a tough spot with the Lauraeno suspension

Playoffs are looking more and more realistic..

My favorite longshot Michael Dominguez with the promotion to Dunedin starting tonight after 4 outings in the FCL, 13 K's, 2 BB in 9 innings and a 5.00 ERA after a rough outing last time out.

I don't see how this makes sense.

Manoah is pitching like a front of the rotation starter and despite his age/rookie status, he looks MUCH more able to provide consistent results than either Matz or Stripling do. If you want to keep the bullpen fresh, it doesn't make sense to pull the one starter who is not only pitching at the highest level, but is also doing so most consistently. The general trend of pushing inconsistent or failing starters into the bullpen is a trend for a reason: one, most of those guys are capable of being effective over only 1-2 innings as opposed to 5-6 innings, and two: competent starting innings is still MUCH more valuable than relief innings...hence why you don't see teams pushing their better starters into the bullpen unnecessarily.

Manoah to the bullpen only makes sense if he's getting near his innings limit and they're trying to manage his workload. I don't think it makes any sense under the idea that it somehow "improves" the team to have him pitching out of the bullpen.
It absolutely makes no sense whatsoever. Keeping worlse pitchers in the rotation just on the off chance that they can get a lead for Manoah to come in? And no, he's not hitting 97 in starting....tops 94-95 recently , and that's not even consistently. But what is consistent is his STARTERS mentality.

It was a terrible thought with zero rational reasoning.

Also, modern pitchers don't usually gain on their max velocity. They just throw a lower percentage of their fastballs more than 3 mph slower.

I wonder if that’s why Oakland paid a premium for Marte. If I recall correctly, the Jays were aware of Colabello’s positive test weeks before it became public knowledge.

Kevin Smith playing tonight for Buffalo so whatever caused him to come out last night clearly not an issue
And SS again. I wonder if their show casing him for a trade in of the offseason or if they actually view him as a possible SS if they can’t re-sign Semien.

Good work from the Jays this game. Keep up timely hitting performances like that and they just might make this interesting.

The Jays are a World Series champion calibre team whose biggest accomplishment may be qualifying for the postseason.

They've still got the problem of being in the toughest division in mlb, remember in 1987 when the Blue Jays had the 2nd best record in all of mlb and failed to qualify for the post season because you had to win your division. The wild cards have helped, but they're still having to play Boston, New York and Tampa Bay. Finishing in 4th in the east would probably win or be 2nd place in the central.

That’s exactly what I mean.

Orioles held the lead twice last night, Rays come back to win 10-6.

Mariners held the lead twice last night, Yankees come back to win in extras 3-2.

Athletics and Rangers go into the 11th tied 1-1, Athletics put up a 3 spot and win 4-1.

Nobody said it was going to be easy.
