Definitely agree. In all 3 games he has clearly been the best goaltender and if the Kings win the series then he could be trouble for the rest of the league as well.

Debate the softness of them if you want but bottom line is this has got to stop at some point. It's the only reason this series isn't 3-0 Edmonton right now.

Since the league added the second ref and the control center the quality of calls has declined. Its the law of diminishing returns.

The fact remains (at least in my mind) that without that Kostin goal in game 2 it could easily be a 3-0 series.

Time for that "A" game and no more excuses. Suck it up and find your game and your discipline.

Unfortunately with the goaltending disparity this is possibly the case.

As it is the only thing separating is a brilliant Kostin goal saving us in game 2. Nuge, Kane, Hyman, Yama, they sure ain't saving us. Sweet f*** all.

Even when we outplay the Kings Skinner is the great equalizer. There he is early in OT mishandling a routine dump in almost resulting in a GA. There he is being a complete shooter tutor on the Kempe tying goal. Kempe scores that goal 80% of the time against weak Skinner going down early. He's not even close to making the stop. One could say Skinner didn't give himself a chance to make that save.

The thing is even Vilardi has made a difference for LA and he's a talented player. Fiala is the Kings current most talented forward and not even in the lineup.

The other side though is only 2 of our topsix players have scored a goal in this series and all of them are there, and present. The kings were missing 2 of their topsix players in game 1 and Vilardi still feeling his way back and really has none of his legs at all. Vilardi is not even close. He's playing but he has no step right now.
