Post-Game Talk: Poor discipline and poor reffing is a bad combination

I'm sorry but what possible reason could the league have for rigging the games AGAINST McDavid? Silly talk
Keep him from winning so he leaves and goes to a big American market right where Bettman and the American owners want him. They dont care about the Canadian teams and haven't in a long time.

Draisaitl has kept the boat afloat this playoff. But taking a penalty when you've scored a goal in a massively tight game in a hostile rink is simply mind-blowing in how dumb that is. Absolute game changer as we saw the Kings rope-a-dope their way to an overtime win. The Oilers have been themselves in this series where their opponent has only led for like 7 minutes. Way, way, way too much energy expended killing their own brainless penalties.
Yes that is obviously a totally unwarranted penalty that just can't happen in such an important game.

To get him out of Edmonton? The league refuses to do any actual work of holistically growing the game in the US so instead they're going to make it clear that American teams have an inherent advantage with rigged games in their favor.

The sooner that's clear to McDavid, he'll have no choice but to sign with an American team if he wants to win a Cup.

I dunno what series you guys are watching but we’re absolutely slaughtering them. Look the league doesn’t want series ending in 4-5 games, it’s just flushing tens of millions worth of revenue down the drain. The league wants Mcdavid going deep and they know the oilers are the better team right now and their pp is 4/7 in the series. At some point if necessary the penalty calls will swing in the other direction and the Oilers will capitalize and the league knows it.

Might be time to reunite McDrai. RNH, Hyman and Kane are giving them nothing right now.

Trailed for 7 mins in 3 games and we are losing. Dominating the series.

Goaltending is the dagger so far. One team getting saves the other not.
That's how I see it. Shades of the peg series. Oil are actually carrying the play but the Kings are winning the goaltending duel. Swapping Korpi for Quick at the deadline was a great move for them.

It’s the playoffs. Running them over, slaughtering, good avdanced stars mean nothing. If you aren’t winning when you are playing well it absolutely doesn’t matter.

Ekholm is immune from criticism on this board being a Viking god and all that, but through three games he is not even close to the standard he set for himself with his play down the stretch. He looks slow and lacking confidence in his puck movement. Wonder what’s up with that.

Lol- dominating the game 5v5 and the refs calling a one-sided game is Woodcroft being out coached? McDavid owning the shot share over 3 games by a ridiculous amount is him being a ghost? Come back with a real take
sick advanced stats

let me know when the production occurs...the top line is NEUTERED

It was a dumb play by Drai, but honestly, how in gods earth is that a penalty in the playoffs? The refs f***ed us again. Danault does the same thing that Kostin did, but no penalty.

I actually understand why they didn’t over turn the goal though, as I don’t think it was definitive proof. Yeah, it probably touched his stick, but I don’t think the video was predictable enough to over turn the call on ice.
Happens every f***ing game and in every f***ing scrum. It was a terrible call

"Mature Game".

This team is way too undisciplined. It is a self immolation happening more than getting beat. Way, way, way too many passengers who are not helping and often hurting this team with their dumbness. Very fickle reffing doesn't help. But this is a very undiscipled team at time of year when it will absolutely kill you. Expending way too much energy on the PK.

Skinner was excellent tonight. Really too bad the team in front of him is largely MIA or in the penalty box.
Skinner was excellent but Korpi was even better. I think that will be the difference.
