who cares about the high stick? What the hell was that penalty on Draisaitl for unsportsmanlike
that was the softest call i have ever seen
that was the softest call i have ever seen
like I said, sick advanced stats
when games are won by advanced stats, I'll pay attention
How are jets fans feeling about their series?Jets fan here, dropping in to read all the legitimate complaints about this ######## league.
When the non partisan observer sees you getting f***ed, you know you're getting f***ed.
Worst officiating on the planet, driving fans from the game with every puck drop.
f*** the NHL. Bring back the WHA.
Holloway barely moved the needle in the regular season. What would he accomplish now? Guy will be ready next season at the earliest. The four shifts of Broberg isn't really doing us any favors. With Bakersfield's season over, it would be nice to see Holloway draw in.
Then you have danaukt giving McDavid a MASSIVE two hand lumberjack slash at the end of our last pp making him fallFirst of all LA is a trash team. They bring nothing of value, don't do anything, and just sit there. The way they play sucks and when they win its like an accident. Doughty is a loser and I'm ashamed he is from my country.
But onto the Oilers. If they lose this series it will be 75% them doing stupid s**t and 25% Korpi outduelling Skinner. Wow what a braindead team. RNH with the absolute two handed slash on a stick that is called 80% of the time or more. In overtime no less! Koskin who got lucky. Drai who literally killed all momentum with that dumb play of his. Who the hell gets a penalty during a goal celebration. You got to be a special kind of dumb.
Korpisalo didn't get enough respect on cratered C-Bus teams. His single handed steal beating an elite T-Bay team was remarkable. Put him behind this Kings team that plays a passive game that clogs up all space with two elite shutdown centres and it was going to be a slugfest match up. Skinner's largely held his own. This team has crushed themselves with penalties. Too much energy wasted on the PK.Skinner was excellent but Korpi was even better. I think that will be the difference.

7 game series for sure. But if you are struggling to win or score in games that you play well, what happens the moment you have an off night? If Oilers have a rough game 4 they probably get blown out.7 game series.
I know you love to panic early but maybe for once in your life don’t freak out at the first sign of adversity.
Facts is we are 3 games in and McDavid doesn't have a point at 5v5.Facts is he has a 60% Corsi and overwhelming better then opponents advanced stats. So no, it isn't a fact mold brain.

I think that the tragedy will be the waste of a year where 3 players hit career highs in points and this team looked poised to go all the way...only to see it all collapse. They can still win (didn't they go down 2-1 last year???), but not if Korpi keeps up his play. It’s not really that much of an upset if it happens. 5 point difference? Edmonton on an incredible heater at the end. It will be a disappointment its not like there was a twenty point gap here.
Yeah well they also want 6-7 game series to maximize revenue. What would the series be right now if penalties to each side were working 1-2 each game like they are in 90% of NHL hockey games. They seem to do everything opposite of that, so far.
He's mostly angry about the call on Leon but yes, the stick too. The only way I can see us winning this series is if we never get involved in scrums. We've outplayed LA all 3 games but with officiating this brutal it doesn't matter. Imagine having your own league punish you being punished for having a great power play.He mad about the high stick?
Kings had a plan for him and it is working.Facts is we are 3 games in and McDavid doesn't have a point at 5v5.
Expected goals and shot metrics are worth nothing.
Not the caseHow do you explain the puck changing directions so quickly then? Imo there's no question he touched the puck. What has been pointed out to me several times though is the fact it touched ekholm's back after the high stick, thus negating the high stick and leading to LA's possession. I hate it as much as the next person but at the end of the day it was the right call by the NHL's rules I guess. The garbage reffing as far as penalties go can stop anytime as far as I'm concerned though
Shades of 2017. Black eye for the sport tonight.
An absolute disgrace.
