The most interesting thing for me is how our power play has gone stone cold of late. That's the most unexpected thing recently with NYR.

What's interesting about it? These things always go through stretches. You can't expect a 25% PP to score 1 goal every 4 PPs they get. They might score on 4 out of 10 and then not score on the next 10. They had like 6 or 7 3 game stretches last year without a PPG. Edmonton had a 7 game stretch and two 4 game stretches without a PPG.

It is funny seeing so many people that were just challenging and manipulating arguments last week from any comment others made pointing out the issues with this team, deployment, and structure. Now suddenly those people are fading in line like Homer Simpson into the bush.

Another stellar game for the power play. Maybe people will start to loosen up about the trocheck thing in the bumper slot. A shooter there does nothing if he can't hit the net consistently.

So many things are off right now and they need to bring through this bc this can slip away pretty quickly. They have 8pts in 8 games and are 6th in the division. The wildcard won't be a given from the metro. They need to right the ship quickly.

This 1000 percent. The Atlantic is much better. Wildcards are not guaranteed to come out of the metro like they seem to have been recently.

The trocheck contract was terrible when it was signed and it is going to age as such. That's the one thing he is right about. Even when it was signed people around the league took a pause of the number mixed w the term. It's not a good contract.

Boring to say but they played fine. Similar to a couple other losses where the game could’ve gone either way and we just got out goalied. Biggest concern to come out of the start of this season is Halak. Seems a step slow and might just be cooked.

What were the supposed to do exactly? Pay Strome 5.5 mil a year for 5 years? It also takes more than 8 games to make a true evaluation of a player.

It's really starting to grind my gears, I watch like every other young player do at least something in their games. A shot here or there through a defender the goalie has to make a save on. A nice dangle around a defender, whatever. And here I am hoping Kakko can win a board battle just to pass it from the corner hitting off someone's skate.
