I don't do predictions because I'm so often wrong, but I had a feeling this is the kind of game we'd have tonight. Tighter, well-played, evenly matched, with someone getting a 2-1 win. Bounces went the Pens way unfortunately.

I thought they played poised overall, but you can't beat these guys giving up 2-1 shots.

Love how they choose Blake Comeau for the postgame interview...well done Fox, smh.

Seriously, my biggest takeaway from tonight is that Cody Goloubef would be better than Wisniewski, just another embarassing effort.

The two big series were the Wiz penalty which they scored. That seemed to lift the whole team and the Jackets were chasing their tails after that and couldn't counter. The second was when Bylsma put Crosby and Malkin on the same line and Richards couldn't get Dubs out there in the third. They dominated that shift and scored the second on the rebound

I am getting a good LOL on all the national hockey writers praising Fleurys great rebound game on twitter. Dude had a whopping 23 saves! AMAZING!

WTF! He had an easy night, and was not the story of this game.

Moronic Pens homers.

Yeah I didn't think Fleury was anything special at all. Can someone link me to a big time save he had to make tonight? We generated nothing offensively.

Not seeing enough of the blame being placed on Jack Skille for my liking. From my input, that second goal was mostly his fault. He watches as Lee Stempniak skates right past him, then coasts to the goal without picking up a man and literally watches them score.

Worthy of a healthy scratch next game. Put Tropp or Boll in there, and send them after James Neal to make him understand that it's not okay to touch our goaltender.

Really, outside of our fourth line (with the exception of Comeau's stupid penalty), our centers (Johansen, Dubinsky notably), and Bobrovsky, this was a forgettable game for the team. Has to be a better effort in game 6, or we're done.

One good thing tonight is that Bob was really good the entire game. He got turned around on the one shot but he was getting peppered much of the game. Must have Vezina Bob in the remaining games to take the series. Must keep the shots balance much more even.

Skille got schooled on the last goal, but the way it was going with the shots imbalance Pens were going to get the winner sooner or later.

Thought the Pens played with more discipline and effort tonight. When they do that, they're going to win 8 times out of 10. At this point, they simply have more skill and experience than the Jackets. That said, we'll see if they can bring it twice in a row.

Wiz had a tough game, but quite frankly, a lot of the team did. Need a much better game from guys like Dubi, Joey and Arty next game. Still enjoying the ride, and if the Jackets do win on Monday, all of the pressure shifts to the Pens.

I will put my money on BOB if this is the type of play we get for the next two games

Bob could not have played better... over 50 shots. The defense needs to play better if they expect to win anymore games and jeepers, stay out of the box.

We’ll lick em Monday, I can’t wait to get my 5th line Tee… I’ll add it to my White Out Tee’s from the early Blue Jacket days…

They might go down, but they won't go down without swinging. Which is something that can't be said in the past. I expect a battle as well.

Even the D only had a few lapses. The offense what just nowhere to be found in periods 2 and 3.

While we're talking healthy scratches, what exactly has Anisimov done that's worthy of a spot in the lineup?

His defensive play on Malkin all series.

Agreed.

I'm no Anisimov fan in the least bit, for what it's worth ... but I'm becoming one in this series. Everyone is watching Dubinsky against Crosby, but nobody is talking about the stellar job Anisimov has done against Malkin. Let's not forget that Malkin is easily one of the top three offensive players in the world, and he has zero goals in the series.

You take Anisimov away, who do you put against Malkin?
