Given the skill discrepancy, don't think you can ask for a better first 45 minutes, save for a sharper Bob. Those last 15 minutes, we just completely lost our edge. Very disappointing.

Regroup for Saturday and hope Bob is sharper. Foligno and Umberger will help. If Jared Boll even takes the ice for warmup, I might vomit.

All things considered, I'm not really mad.
The fact that they blew a 3-1 lead makes me mad at this game. We didn't even have the 3-1 lead for that long. Imagine if we killed the final seconds of that PP. This could have been an whole different story.

Does Foligno and Umberger come in for Boll and Tropp? Or does Skille come out instead one of those 2?

Some of you guys are bipolar, I swear . We played the pens game tonight and got away from our plan . We look like we belong, this experience will be huge in our young guys taking the next step

Jack earned the MF tag tonight. Beast game from him.

I hope Joey gets the stars outta his eyes and wakes up for game 2. Boone didn't seem fazed by the pressure, but Joey, well.

Disappointing 3rd period. We need Game 2 on Saturday or else we're in a very tough spot.

Do you see the penguins coming out flat TWICE? I sure don't. This game was their chance at gaining momentum and Bob blew it when it mattered most just like he always does (Olympics, Nash in nationwide, etc.)

If we can't win when we score 3 or more goals, this is going to be a long series. Richards with some coaching mistakes. Best player yet to step up. Bob has to be a lot better.

Good effort, but that was to be expected.

Not a whole lot to suggest we can win a game in the series. Our role players led the way.

...Really?
Irks me that the Jackets couldn't win this game. Very winnable and arguable that we should have won.

But, when Bob isn't sharp, our team loses their edge. And our team came out asleep in the 3rd.

Gotta come back stronger in game 2.

All things considered the entire first and part of the 2nd was exactly how we need to play. We need to keep doing that, when the going got tough we got away from the plan and tried to beat them in a track meet. Won't work. On to Saturday but **** me 3-1 is hard to swallow

Honestly Boll is just painful to watch. I would take Tropp and Skille before him any day of the week.

And he was out there with under 5 minutes left. Letestu is a top 3 offensive player in our lineup tonight and Richards banishes him to the 4th line. I will never understand it.

I'm proud to be a Jackets fan. The Jackets have shown they belong and that will pay off. I'm confident they can still pull this out.

You guys have got to quit blaming Bob. You want Mason in there??? We need to quit deflecting pucks into our own net. The one goal went off of Savard.

Boone wasn't fazed but he let the success go to his head and he made the awful (and completely unnecessary) turnover that led to the GWG.

This team has some kind of mental block where they just flat refuse to beat the bruins, Blackhawks or penguins even when they can and should...

One of the worst things about losing can be reading some of the dumb posts from the defeatists.

It was never going to be easy. CBJ didn't play their best game and still managed to be well in the game until the end. Keys were the PK, Bob, faceoffs in the third and experience. Hopefully one of their takeaways is that they know they can play with these guys even on an off night...that should be encouraging to them.

Going to game 2 Saturday. Can't wait.
